He took his time to explain every part of my eye exam in a way that was easy to understand and gave me genuinely helpful advice on how to improve my vision. What really stood out to me is that there was absolutely no pressure to buy glasses or upsells of any kind. The focus was 100% on my eye health, which is rare these days. I’ve been to many eye doctors over the years — including Costco, Sam’s Club, and several other eye specialists throughout the Metro Phoenix area — and this experience was by far one of the best. After doing some research and seeing all of the wonderful reviews, I am happy to say I made the right choice! I had my first exam here yesterday and felt very welcomed by the entire office staff and Dr. Yoon. I love when a place is busy but someone still says "welcome in, we'll be with you as soon as we can". One of the staff members and I were all ready joking a bit back and forth and I subtly mentioned that I go by a different name than my legal name. When he let the doctor know I had arrived, he let her know this so that she could address me by my preferred name. I really don't ever mind when it comes to medical appointments and such, but it really just made it more personable and even more of a pleasant experience. You can tell that Dr. Yoon takes a lot of pride in her work and does a wonderful job at educating her patients, walking them through every step of the exam, and all the while with a smile on her face and a very warm aura. Thanks Patel Optometry for taking great care of me!
