Wonderful establishment. Melissa is a titan of the plasma industry. Angie and Kristy are titans of the plasma industry as well. KED would be wise to give these three women a substantial raise post haste.

I like the fact that it can be a quick process on certain occasions here however twice I was met with rude tones and slick remarks by two different employees,
the latest was a black woman with shaved hair on the sides and braids in the middle. I asked her “ do you know how long until you fix the check in machine”
her response was “when I’m done”.
I was looking for an estimated timeframe like 5,10,30 minutes because I was going to sit and let somebody skip me if it could be fixed, to give time for my heart rate to go down and others in the line were fussing about non working check ins
so I figured I could get us all clarity if I asked ,
and I felt she spoke to me like I was her kid behind closed doors or a cousin instead of professionally.
I politely reminded her that she works there and I do not, thinking it will give a hint to her brain to maybe apologize and go back to professional mode but it did not
I noticed her tone was different more professional soft not sharp even a fake chuckle and smile to two men of a different race when they asked her why the check in machine was not accepting their finger prints
and I notice that to be common at this location , some staff pick and choose who to be polite in response too based on their personal preferences but not everyone, it depends on their mood and who’s asking and that’s odd behavior in a professional setting
on a past incident it was a floor manager I believe to be hispanic who I saw getting sassy with other donors of course laying there if I’m not wrapped up in my phone it’s easy to hear and notice the surroundings of my environment I heard her actually tell a guy if he didn’t like something he can go elsewhere to donate
then minutes went by and I’d been sitting long after donating I looked around and saw two workers in a deep conversation between themselves
and I asked another employee could they take me off however despite the fact I wasn’t even talking to her she was egar to run to see if there was a problem when she heard me and saw my hand in the air but not to assist in taking me off just to assess problems
and remind me in a odd agitated tone that they get busy
I told her this isn’t that type of situation I’ve been a long time donor I know exactly how it goes and I’m college educated I look around and make sure I’m thinking reasonably before I comment it’s actually how I was raised to think before I speak
and that I saw available staff deep rooted in conversation amongst themselves
End result (instead of letting me know she had a problem with me asking right there on the spot and getting another manager to talk that day right there ) she went behind my back in a odd way and I didn’t know the conversation couldn’t be left at that what was said was said and could of been done and over with honestly it wasn’t big to me
she wrote a note and the next time I came in to donate I couldn’t check in the system flagged it or something because of her note
I had to talk to a different manager about the situation
I let her know they get frustrated maybe even comfortable with the job that they often generate attitudes of frustration quickly at work luckily that manager was apologetic and said she’d have a meeting with staff. And I was able to donate after that ,
Because of her alone I want to rate this higher however the staff remain to pick and choose who to be nice to when we have a question it’s obvious we will have questions like wouldn’t anybody
Some staff continue frustration at work as if it’s a sin to ask questions and that’s odd behavior for a business as important as this one I mean we’re saving lives here are you serious it’s beyond just a regular 9-5 it actually is a necessity in the medical field.
