I was not impressed with Dr. Li and would not go again to her. She was not friendly, seemed to have this “I’m better than you” demeanor, and didn’t make it a comfortable experience. It also didn’t help that the exam chair was broken and she wanted me to press my forehead against metal and screws because the padding was broken off and she said it can’t go back in because it’s broken. The front desk staff was great, the gentleman doing my pre exam was great, as was Milo who I bought glasses from after. Both front desk staff, pre exam gentleman and Milo were friendly and made it a great experience - if it wasn’t for Dr. Li and the very uncomfortable exam chair I would give this place a 5/5. It was very hard to do my exam because of how uncomfortable the chair was, which was also severely high and didn’t have any back support, and the screen with the words I needed to read was crooked. I would come again to this location, but with a different doctor.

I am absolutely livid with the so-called “care” I received from Kelly Freese. She didn’t just mess up my prescription, she got it so unbelievably wrong that it damaged my day-to-day vision and left me struggling with constant eye pain, constant feeling of pressure, headaches, and strain. This wasn’t an honest mistake. This was reckless negligence.
The worst part? She didn’t even bother to properly examine my eyes. She rushed through the appointment like she couldn’t be bothered and relied almost entirely on the automated machines. No detailed check. No verifying the results. Nothing. It was the most dismissive, careless exam I’ve ever experienced. It genuinely felt like she was guessing.
When I asked her questions about certain symptoms I was experiencing, symptoms that any competent eye doctor should understand, she looked completely lost. She literally told me she didn’t know why it was happening and even said she had “never heard of that.” How do you work in eye care and claim you’ve never heard of a common symptom?
Because of her lack of effort, I walked away with a prescription that was not even close to what I needed. My eyesight literally suffered because she couldn’t take the time or responsibility to do her job correctly.
Based on my experience, I personally do not feel she should be practicing as an optometrist without additional training or education. The level of uncertainty and lack of proper examination was unacceptable.
I trusted her with my vision, something you cannot undo, and she failed me in every possible way. If you value your eyes, your health, or basic competency, do NOT go to Kelly Freese. I would never recommend her to anyone.
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What is involved in an eye exam?
An eye exam involves a series of simple but comprehensive tests that allow your optometrist to assess your vision and your eye health. Your optometrist will discuss the results of your eye exam with you and determine the right prescription to help you to see your best.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
