Last year I signed up for a free intro class at Club Pilates. Around that same time, we had an unexpected family emergency and had to travel back to the Midwest because my fiancé’s mother became very ill and unfortunately passed away. I canceled my class and informed the studio of the situation, including that I was not in Arizona and unsure when we would return. Despite explaining this, I continued receiving repeated calls to reschedule. During an already difficult time, that felt overwhelming and insensitive, and I eventually had to ask that they stop calling until I was ready. I finally attended the free 30-minute intro class on February 8, 2026. The class itself was enjoyable, and the instructor did a good job. However, the communication before and after the class was excessive. I received multiple emails, texts, and phone calls to confirm attendance. I was even called right when they opened because I hadn’t responded to a text the day before. The caller did not know my household works third shift, but she clearly realized she had woken me up and continued the conversation anyway. That felt inconsiderate. After the class, brochures were provided, but pricing was not clearly listed, and I had to specifically ask for the rates. In the days that followed, I continued receiving calls asking if I had questions, even though everything had already been explained during my visit. While I understand follow-up is part of business, the frequency felt more like telemarketing than customer care. The class format itself was solid, but over $100 for four classes per month did not feel practical for me, especially when my current gym membership is $40 per month and includes unlimited Pilates classes. Overall, the workout was good, but the persistent communication style and pricing structure ultimately made it not the right fit for me.

My wife is 4.5 months pregnant and was specifically cleared by her OB-GYN to take Pilates, with the understanding that she can modify or skip anything that feels uncomfortable. She has been active and knows how to listen to her body. When she arrived for what was supposed to be a normal class, the staff made her sign an additional waiver (fine), but then proceeded to lecture and were quite flustered about her being there at all. The tone was not welcoming and made her feel like she was doing something wrong just by showing up pregnant despite having medical clearance. Ironically, the class itself went completely fine. She modified as needed, had no issues, and felt good afterward. Then later, instead of checking in or offering support, they emailed her to say she is not allowed to return without a doctor’s note and can only attend the most basic class. This felt less about safety and more about liability panic and poor handling of a normal situation. Pregnant clients need informed guidance, not public shaming and mixed messages after the fact. There’s a professional and supportive way to discuss policies and this was not it. She left feeling unwelcomed, especially when coupled with this email. Would not recommend, especially to anyone expecting a supportive environment during a pregnancy.

Horrible experience here. Took a class with Kriztina Davis, and after the class got started and we are in the middle of the workout, The instructor comes over to tell me that grippy socks are required, and that I need to go purchase some from the front as were in the middle of class. I already had my own socks on and asked if it’s okay to just use my own socks or if they had some I could borrow or be barefoot and she said “no because we don’t know where your feet have been and it’s a safety thing” and made me get up in the middle of class to spend $30 on one pair of socks at the front completely disrupting the class and my experience. I’ve been to so many Pilates studios like Solid Core and Reformed Pilates and others that let you wear your own socks or even be barefoot cause you obviously clean everything after, or just let you borrow a pair. I had to sign a waiver and take a picture at the front before class even started, would’ve been a good place to ask someone if they had grippy socks before the class even started wouldn’t you think? Besides that the class wasn’t challenging or difficult, didn’t even break a sweat. The instructor was also rude, not friendly or welcoming and didn’t seem very happy to be there in the first place. Cant stand stuck up places and rude instructors like this.

I have really enjoyed the instructors and the classes, but the experience I had today was absolutely atrocious and further backs up what those have been saying about greed... I was running a few minutes late and walked in the door at 3:35 - I looked at my phone as I walked in. I had never been this late to a class before. The girl who was outside came in behind me as I was setting down my things and checked the time after me and informed me that it was now 3:36 and I had to leave and could not attend the class I had just shown up for, AND that I also would have to pay a $15 no-show charge. I pay a monthly membership fee to this studio and have been coming here over a month and have had a great experience up until today. I cannot fathom how a business could treat "members" like this and expect to keep them. I specifically asked questions on fees when I signed up and was informed that if I canceled a class less than 24hrs in advance I would be charged $15 - and I was and still am ok with this. But no one told me about this 5-minute policy as an excuse to rip you off. The girl claimed it was a "safety" policy, but I'm sorry - nothing you're doing in a level one reformer pilates class is going to injure someone if you miss the first 5 minutes and 3 seconds of the class. It's literally just an excuse to steal from consumers. I use an app and a portal on their website to sign up for classes regularly. I checked both of these and guess what? There's no mention on either of these about their 5-minute steal your money policy. Gotta love businesses with super sneaky hidden charges and fees that don't remotely value their "members." Had I been made aware of this policy in advance or if it was readily visible and I just missed it, I would not be nearly as upset. I would still think it's a pretty rude policy when it comes to valuing members, but I would also understand that this was on me - in this case, there was no way at all I could have known. The girl was not remotely apologetic and didn't care, and was literally looking for a reason to deny me entry (walking in behind me and then telling me it was too late) that I pay a lot of money monthly to attend. She even offered to give me a form to cancel my membership as I was leaving! Just trying to get rid of you I guess, but to be fair I don't even trust that they wouldn't try to charge me a bunch of other fees just for canceling either. Their regional manager is supposed to call me tomorrow, so if there is a positive update, I will provide that. I'm just shocked because I had nothing but good things to say until this afternoon and I cannot believe how I was just treated.
