- GKGuy KallamDec 20, 20252.0Visited this Albertsons Meat department because we understood that they had Bone In Rib Roasts for $6.99 per pound. We purchased one that was just over 9 lbs. It had not been trimmed of any fat at all and I estimate it had at least 3/4 lbs of undesirable fat beyond what is expected. Likewise with a Tri-tip roast we purchased on sale that had really excessive fat hidden on the underside. The meat on sale at this store needs to be inspected for hidden fat before purchasing. This is not an up front Meat department. Beware!
