To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I placed an order for all of my diabetic meds/supplies a few days ago. I went to pick up my stuff and was told the glucagon had to be ordered. No problem, I’ll be back. I got a call today stating my glucagon was ready. I’m in the process of moving so I went to pick it up. When I got to the drive through window the lady asked me for my name and DOB, I gave it to her and she immediately says “ugh I can’t hear you” I drive a loud Hemi Dodge Ram so I had to yell my name and DOB to her. She the tells me it’s not ready till 4pm. We just got our shipment in. So I said well the why did someone call me? She decided to argue with me the whole time rolling her eyes. I start getting frustrated bc I’m getting ready to move out of state and that’s why I was there to pick it up since they had called to say it was ready. She then tells me “well if I can get back there maybe it would be done” so I said ok go ahead and I’ll wait here. She comes back with the glucagon not even 3 mins later and says it’s $249.00 to which i asked “did you not run it through my insurance” her response “well your insurance only covers it certain amount of times in the year” so I asked her for a paper copy with my name and DOB stating that so I could call my insurance and ask why. She said ok left and never came back. Another young lady super nice came to the window and said she would check. I told her I’ve never ever had this problem. She did a few taps on the keyboard and then said.. oh it must’ve gotten stuck in queue but it went through. Here’s the thing, if someone who doesn’t know how to speak up doesn’t say anything and pays just to be able to get their meds.. what happens to that money? Also, the lady who was completely rude to me was an older chubby lady with long hair. Good thing I won’t have to deal with her anymore. As far as anyone else in that store, they have always been nice and efficient.

I'm visiting Oro Valley, and a veteran. They can't seem to think a little to service veterans that might require a phone call and a little bit of service on their part to ensure we receive our prescriptions according to the law, the PACT ACT. They just tell you it's not in network and therefore are not willing to provide service or follow the law. I would recommend avoiding this pharmacy if you are a veteran.

I've been using the pharmacy for 4+ years. The folks seem very earnest but clearly they are short staffed and overworked. Automatic refills don't seem to happen consistently and when scripts are "ready" you can show up and they are "still working" on them. Between the window, the drive-up, giving vaccines, etc. Fry's needs to desperately try and help these folks get fully staffed. When a med insert says to "not stop taking" it gives patients a bit of angst when you run out and the refill is not ready. I feel bad for these folks. When you watch them they are constantly running from one station to another and understandably they can get impatient and frazzled. I hope they can solve their problem as the pharmacy is very convenient to our shopping.

Well this was interesting... I dropped off a prescription for my wife at 515pm, which was admittedly 45 minutes away from close. They asked the following day at 2pm was ok, and I asked if it was possible to pick them up earlier or even come back that night right before they close as the prescription needed be be started right away. The tech just said no and did not offer any alternatives. Longer than I've had to wait at this pharmacy before, but maybe they are busier than normal. I went ahead and said ok and came back home to let my wife know, but of course 24 hours was too long to wait after just getting out of the ER. So at 530pm she started calling back to get the prescription transferred. Over a 15 minute period she was placed on hold and then hung up on the separate times before having to call the store customer service desk to let them know what was going on. She finally gets through after going through the customer service desk and they tell her because she is requesting the transfer only 15 minutes before they close they won't transfer the prescription but if she wants to try and get there before they close they can give her prescription back. She arrives and the tech opens the conversation with "Are you (name)?" And hands her the prescriptions while proceeding to tell her that no one hung up on her. My perception of reality, combined with call records, as well as what I can only assume are several cameras in the pharmacy area say otherwise. Whether this was some policy or just poor decision making, this was really just not the right way to handle this situation. Unsure if there has been a recent management change, but the service had notably dropped over the last 6 months, when it has been great for the previous 5 years. I hope manager Bill will do the right thing and pre-empt a corporate complaint with a simple apology and assurance of better service training. I will be sure to update the review if that occurs.
