When I questioned why my usual prescription cost more than expected, I was brushed off with, “It’s only $20 more,” as if that small increase doesn’t add up to hundreds over time. When I brought in a valid Savings Card — the pharmacist treated me like I didn’t understand how it worked. In reality, they’re the ones responsible for processing it correctly, not me. I shouldn’t have to defend myself for trying to manage my healthcare costs. Instead of being helped, I felt patronized, unwelcome, and like a burden for even asking questions. I won’t be returning. Pharmacists should be advocates, not gatekeepers with an attitude.
