- CPChris Ross, PHRMar 31, 20261.0I had been a patient at Desert Valley Dentistry for quite some time under Dr. Julie Benjamin and always had a positive experience. Unfortunately, since the practice changed ownership, the experience has declined significantly. When I arrived, I was unaware the practice had been sold. The front office staff immediately created an uncomfortable environment. The woman managing the front desk was loud, abrasive, and spoke to patients in a condescending tone. She also shared personal details about Dr. Benjamin and spoke negatively about her care, which felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional. During my visit, I was unexpectedly taken back for a cleaning. The hygienist was rough, and at one point a tool caused a burning sensation in my mouth. I stopped the cleaning immediately. At checkout, a simple request for my Invisalign trays turned into a tense and confrontational interaction. The same front office staff member was argumentative and escalated the situation unnecessarily. This was a very disappointing experience. It is unfortunate to see how far this practice has declined. I would not return or recommend this office.

In addition, the dental clinic is top notch and Dr. Hodge is caring and gentle with dental care. I highly recommend both the spa and dental clinic.

I feel like in the past dentists have just rushed me through or tried to sell me on 100 different things I didn’t need but this place was the total opposite, taking time to get to know me, give a thorough exam, and answer all my questions. The entire staff was sincere, friendly, and genuine! I would recommend them to everyone!
