Everytime I go to or call the Pharmacy on 90 S Val Vista Drive in Gilbert, the staff is so rude and makes me have an EXTREMELY stressful experience. I went on 3/7/26 after the a different safeway called and confirmed they had my meds and they would be ready on Sunday. I go on Sunday and a woman pharmacist (dont know her name) tells me they are not in stock and wont be until Tuesday after then I go today and have the absolute displeasure of dealing with the pharmacist Steve Smith. He is rude to me over the phone, I just needed to get a prescription filled, that Ive picked up here before and he asked me all of these irrelevant questions. (Mind you, I got a text saying it would be filled 03/08/2026 which was false.) He started Asking me is this a new one your doctor just sent over today or are you looking for one they are going to sent? I told him its one Ive already filled there before. He asked me why am I coming here if the other safeway is closer to my house? I told him because they said it couldnt be transfered again. He kept asking me why pick it up at this pharmacy when the other is closer to my house? I explained 2 times that they said it cant be transfered again. He told me oh well its all the same system so it shouldnt be a problem. I told him the other safeway already called his pharmacy on Sunday and they said they couldnt send it back over. then he started saying I needed a perscription sent over to the other safeway because they dont have it. I told him my doctor sent over 3 months of perscriptions for january-march and Im trying to pick up march. He asked who i got that process started with I said my doctors name. He said we dont have anyone by the name of that here. I told him again thats my doctors name. He proceded to lecture me again on how the other safeway is closer to my house and I should just pick it up there and there should be no reason they cant transfer it again. But finally after doing all of that he could fill it. Hes also told me to go to Walmart instead before. Not sure what I did wrong Ive always been polite and patient. Guess they dont like to fill controled substances and will make you feel bad for filling them.

Each time we go we find or actually purchase, we've noticed that there's a lot of expired items. Make sure you check the dates before you purchase. I'm talking about the one on Lindsay and Warner Gilbert! This wasn't meant for the pharmacy, it's the Albertsons store on Lindsay and Warner! Nothing to do with the pharmacy across the street. Albertsons on south Lindsay and Warner. It's the grocery store and not the pharmacy! Sorry.

Low quality deli staff. They don't replenish hot chicken unless you ask. Standing around instead.
