I am new to flagstaff and had prescriptions from out of state transferred here. I have to say that Evan did an amazing job helping me out. I originally had the other pharmacist get my prescriptions and when I came back, they didn't have anything for me nor had any idea who I was because I wasn't in their system. I was upset cause I asked for these a few days earlier and nothing was done about it. Evan came up got my information and asked if he could have about 30 minutes to work on this. About 15 minutes later, I received a call from him letting me know that they had everything there and it was ready to go. Outstanding service by evan. Not so much the other one

Safeway is my primary pharmacy in Phoenix and my 98 year old mother's in Flagstaff. The customer service experience we encountered today didn't live up to our expectations. I called while driving up to find out if I could take her to get an RSV shot. I was told by the pharmacist that they had it and could give it to her today. I asked if I needed an appointment or if I could just drop in. He said I could drop in. That was essentially the end of our conversation. When I took her in, the counter person said they were about 2 minutes from taking lunch and they couldn't do it yet. I explained that mother's age made it difficult to hang around for a half hour, as she was using a walker and we had made it to the back of the store once already. I also told him that the lunch hour was not communicated to me over the phone. He talked to the pharmacist again and he said to complete the form and come back in 30 minutes. Really, is this what we have devolved into for customer service, especially for a 98 year old customer? My local Safeway in Phoenix would never do this. Unfortunately, mom will be using a new pharmacy moving forward. Please don't get me wrong, I completely feel that they are entitled to a lunch break, but it wouldn't have killed them to make this work for a senior citizen. No compassion, no empathy for her situation. Such a sad experience.
