I have had bad hearing for years but I never addressed it because of the claustrophobic feelings I would encounter when put in the old fashioned sound proof box like room to be tested. I finally took the leap and went to Todd at the great American hearing company. What a life changing visit that was! Todd was patient, thorough, and explained how much my hearing was off, and he suggested the perfect hearing aids for my situation. It's now one year later and I am amazed of how much I can hear now. Music, birds, conversations, etc. I never realized how much I was missing or how isolated I was. The whole process was so much easier than I expected. Todd continues to adjust my hearing aids, making things better than I can ever imagine. It's a journey, and you need to understand it takes time to get to that sweet spot of hearing, but the results are astonishing! I highly recommend Todd and when you're ready to change your life, there's no better person to get you there.

At 70 my hearing was degenerating some and I was missing pieces of conversations, both with individuals and in groups. When watching TV my wife said turn up the volume, but I replied it wasn't more volume that was needed but better clarity: I was missing the higher frequencies. Through a referral I went to Todd. We were immediately impressed with the amount of time he generously took to analyze my hearing, using several tests. In that initial over an hour and a half meeting he also explained how the brain processes hearing, and that new neuro pathways can be formed, training the brain to hear those frequencies again, bringing back a good percentage of that loss. (I hope I've got that reasonably correct.) But waiting until hearing loss is more severe hampers that ability of the brain. For each ear he provided an Audiometry of the human ear hearing range relative to volume, and plotting where my ability to hear frequencies fell on that graph and what frequencies needed boosting. The hearing aids recommended could therefore be individually programed for each ear. He explained 7 possible hearing aids of different capabilities, giving his recommendation, which FYI wasn't the most expensive. When he received the Signia units I chose he programmed them each specifically to the frequencies that needed boosting. The change for me was immediate and an enormous blessing. He has you come back in a week or two to get your feedback, and make any further adjustments that would help. Update: I was recently in San Diego at the beach, and unfortunately lost them in the ocean - I'd gotten so used to them for the past 9 months that I forgot they were in. That of course was dismaying, but equally so was that I really missed those higher frequencies and crispness in peoples voices. I felt like I had cotton stuffed in both ears; my brain really had adapted. I called Todd from there and he immediately started the claims process since they were still under warranty. There was a fee of course, but it was way less than new units. He ordered them and they arrived about 10 days after my initial call. Todd programed them today, and I've got the new aids in my ear, much pleased with restored hearing. So I'm very appreciative of Todd, his skill, time and expertise and caring, and am very pleased to give this 5-star, high recommendation review of him.

Todd, co-owner of Great American Hearing Aid Company in Cottonwood, AZ was the only hearing professional that would help me program the Signia hearing aids I had been generously gifted by the wife of a friend, who was recently deceased. It became obvious to me that the eight or nine other hearing aid companies didn’t want to deal with me because I hadn’t bought my hearing aids at their stores. I found little empathy for a legitimate need for help. Todd listened to my story and scheduled me in for a hearing test, extensive interpretation of the results, charged me a fee that was half of what the one other hearing aid company had suggested they might be willing to re-program the hearing aids. He was professional, informative, and cared deeply that I get the most out of these spectacular hearing aids. I highly recommend Great American hearing for Todd’s knowledge, expertise and compassion. Dr. Bob, Sedona, AZ.

I have had hearing aids for 3 1/2 years, but was still experiencing "missing" things in conversations. Hearing aids are advancing all the time and I wanted more up-to-date aids with a company that offers better customer service. I purchased my first aids locally, but that office is only open one day a week; not good if you need help with something and can't do that on their only open day. I read the reviews for Great American Hearing and decided to make an appointment with Todd. So glad I did. I purchased new, state-of-the art hearing aids and have had follow up appointments to fine tune them for my specific hearing needs. What a wonderful experience! Todd has been in the business for years and his first-rate customer service is reflective of that. Please don't hesitate to call Todd for your hearing needs. You won't be disappointed!!

You are in good hands with Todd Faasse, the owner of The Great American Hearing Aid Company. My Mom's hearing aid specialist is no longer and business so we had to find another hearing aid specialist in Cottonwood and we luck out by going to The Great American Hearing Aid Company. Todd was able to repair my mom's old hearing aids for her to use until she has some procedures done to her ears by a medical doctor in 5 weeks. Once that is behind her, Todd will fit her with a new set of hearing airs. I was amazed about the low price he quoted us for the top of the line hearing aids. He took his time to explain everything with my 94 year old mother and we both felt that he really cared about his patients. I would definitely recommend his services. Greg N
