  After years of seeing Dr. Dobbs he has retired and I had to randomly choose new doctor to see and I picked Dr. Jones who ended up being a GREAT pick. He was so knowledgeable, patient, kind and had a great listening ear. He took care of all my issues even lowered my prescription which has helped tremendously with my vision I’m able to see perfectly clear without the headaches I can wear my glasses all day and night with no issues I’m so thankful to him for that. Also can’t forget about how helpful and knowledgeable Mr. Jack was in the optical center he didn’t pressure me to shop there instead he was very patient working with me to pick the perfect glasses and kind enough to let me know any issues I have to come back and see him anytime. I LOVE 20/20 optical I’ve been a patient there for years my mom and I both.

  My father had a wonderful optometrist here for about 25 years with no issues. Dr. Dobbs, Dr. Young, and staff were very professional and pleasant. Upon his doctor’s retirement, they scheduled his appointment with the new doctor. For the appointment, there was an accident on the highway and we arrived 12 minutes late to the appointment. They refused to see him. I apologized for the inconvenience and rescheduled. For the new appointment, we made sure to leave our home very early to ensure they did not cancel the appointment. In the inclement rain and weather (while on the highway), we received a call about 30 minutes before the appointment to cancel the appointment. They lacked empathy for us having to drive and refused to see us with another doctor on this date. Considering they were so strict and dogmatic about being 2 minutes past the late time, you would think they would have been more prompt in letting us know that the doctor was sick. This is unacceptable and I feel like they truly did not want my father as a client. Sad.

  When I lived in Montgomery the only ophthalmologist I would see was Dr. Young. I was always treated well by the staff, Dr. Young himself is very professional and there is no doubt he truly cares about his patients and his work. Also, Ms. Carol who handles in-house contact fitting, ordering, etc. is very patient and kind and taught me as a 13-year-old boy how to properly wear my contacts. I miss the ease, accuracy, and professionalism of this practice; I have yet to find any practices in my area that I have been to that provide me even a fraction of the pleasure I used to experience from 20/20 Ophthalmic Associates and Dr. Young.

  I'm 36 years old, and I have used 20/20 my entire life as my father had used 20/20 since before I was even born, I suppose. Donald ran the glasses shop, and I first met him my first visit back in 1989. Now his son-in-law runs the shop most of the time, but the whole outfit is personal and family-like. I also love how they still have the practice on Narrow Lane Road for those of us who still live in traditional Montgomery.
