  i was a patient here right before and when the pandemic right hit. It was one of my worst experiences with mental health “professionals”. therapist treated me like a kid and treated the sessions like a ranting session and i couldn’t even do that. Didn’t make me feel comfortable to open up and therapy sessions were VERY awkward. it was just basically someone judging me and giving me advice (and not good advice). and wasting money. didn’t even take the full hour during sessions. and not to mention psychiatry. all he did was try to give me medicine. more and more medicine. i did not get better, worse if anything. made me not want to trust all therapists or psychiatrists. don’t go here.

  Our family has been trying to make an appointment for two weeks and still have not been able to get one. Paper work submitted promptly, multiple calls made with no calls back to see if paper work was received and to schedule an appointment still without any luck.Finally after repetitive emails as well, we get a call back and are still not able to make an appointment. We have done everything on our end, but with the lack of comprehension with the receptionist, Kathy, we have still not been able to get an appointment. Two weeks in to this mess, and if this is how they work in the office, we will try to go else where. *After reading other reviews, I can see this is clearly not a new issue that people are dealing with.

  When I sat down in Benaknin's office, in a pleasant voice, I explained that I was feeling irritated today. He then stated "I'm going to have to end this session, as I do not feel safe around you." He stated he does not want to treat me. A 58-year-old grandmother, unthreatening behavior. He walked me back to reception, all the while on my right side. He offered to get me in with another doctor. I declined and left with my head down, very confused about what just happened. Strange man.
