My husband and I received the best care we needed yesterday all the way through the office from the front desk, to the nurses, for the tests and X-rays needed, and the guidance and evaluation of the practitioner. Compassion, thoroughness, professionalism, wisdom, time taken to consider options, prompt in-facility treatment, and amazing follow-up the day after. So grateful!
My daughter had an appointment at 1:20, they didn't call us back until 2:23 and the doc didn't come in room until 3:46 and was done by 3:51. She apologized for the long wait because she was the only one seeing patients that day. Had I been told that during check-in, I would've went somewhere else. There should've been better communication on their part instead of having people wait for 3-4 hours in silence. They wouldn't even turn the tv on. I would never go there again.

I would not recommend AFC other than as a last resort or unless you already know what you have and treatment needed! The staff is very nice and welcoming, but I find the physicians to be too laxed. Despite two visits in the same week for a severely sore, swollen throat and 2 negative strep tests - the doctor still assumed it was strep and prescribed antibiotics. We ended up in the ER the same night after our 2nd visit to AFC where scans indicated abscesses in both tonsils and my kid was becoming septic, resulting in admission and an emergency procedure. I have had other negative experiences in years and typically avoid AFC: I especially do not recommend them for children!

I walked up to front desk and the man working refused to acknowledge me. He would purposely kept his head turned while he was carrying on conversation joking with the others behind the desk. It wasn't until his coworker pointed at me that he decided to say something. He turned his head and said "what you want". I said I just want to check in. He pointed at a QR code and said scan that code and go sit down. I didn't have a phone on me. He eventually handed me a tablet to use. As I'm filling it out, he's asking his female coworkers about what contraceptives they use. He says he uses the "pray and spray" method. I then run into an issue where the workflow to check-in on the tablet required a phone number and asks you to enter the code text to that number. The tablet is not a viable method to check in without a phone.

First off, I want to say that I really like and appreciate Dr Kurecki and his staff, they do great work. What is unfortunate is that Crestwood sucks with their push to an AI answering service that is HORRIBLE. You can no longer call your doctor’s office and expect the staff there to answer. You either get transferred to a third party service, or told to use the PORTAL to send messages. Well, for two weeks, no one has replied to me in the portal, and no one answers the phone at the doctor’s office. I can only assume that Crestwood is already embracing the Huntsville Hospital practice of SUCKING AT HEALTHCARE. It should never be this difficult to contact your family doctor! Why are healthcare costs rising so fast when they appear to be removing human interaction at every possible position? I’m looking for a new family doctor that has no ties to HH or Crestwood that is in the Harvest/Toney area. Just imagine how great healthcare is going to be once Crestwood is operating completely under HH, and the only health care provider in north Alabama is a medical conglomerate that does not care about anything or anyone, and makes decisions based solely on money, and not health.
