The doctor and staff are all very nice, but the last three visits we’ve had to wait over an hour. It’s great that we can get last minute appts for emergencies but this definitely isn’t the best office for a working parent that needs accuracy with scheduled appointments.

I absolutely dislike Dr.Bell as my baby’s doctor. I call her about concerns about my baby she interrupts me asking if I’m on Medicad. I said no what does that have to do with anything? I feel like she’s judging because I’m black . Anyways, I asked for eczema cream for my baby in May... I didn’t get that medicine until July 1st after calling every day! Now I’m trying to leave their office and they act as if they can’t just send the medical release forms to the next office. They’ve had the forms since July 16th .. today is July 30th. It does take that long to send a 3 month old forms in . I hate how unprofessional they are.

Called to make a new patient appointment for my 4yr old daughter and was asked which doctor I would like to make one with. I said "Dr. Bell". Then I was asked what insurance I would be using. I said "Tricare". I was then told that "Dr. Bell is no longer taking new patients." It's interesting I was told this AFTER I indicated which insurance I would be using. At this moment in time, Alabama Children's Clinic was a provider in the Tricare Network, by the way. Being a military family already comes with inherent hardships and dealing with establishments such as this one amplifies the difficulty. Denying basic, routine care for a child because, for what ever reason, you deem Tricare as unworthy of your time is disgusting and evil. As it goes, myself and other members of the military will continue defend and fight for your right to turn a blind eye and have zero support for us.

Really disappointed with our experience today. Our kids are normally patients of Dr. Powell, but his office is closed on Tuesdays and his patients are rerouted to Dr. T's office. I called at 3:12pm because my 13-yr old daughter's mild earache had intensified to the point of visible inner ear swelling, sensitivity to touch, and oozing. She was in so much pain and crying so we got into the car, called their office, and they said they could see her at 3:30pm in the Madison office so we headed that way directly from Owens Cross Roads. We checked in at 3:43. We ended up never getting to see the doctor despite waiting til 4:51pm while my daughter rocked back and forth with tears coming down her face in clear view of the receptionist. They didn't care at all that she was hurting as patient after patient went before her, presumably because they were true Dr. T patients. There's no sense of urgency or compassion at the front desk. I don't know about any of the other staff or doctor, but the receptionist is the face of the office and she should have put some urgency into her care. We ended up leaving and going to the Hsv Hospital Pediatric ER.
