  I brought my disabled mom to her 3pm appointment today. She was very excited to be able to get new glasses. From the time we came in the customer service was great. The receptionist and the doctor were phenomenal. Towards the end of the screening the doctor explained that he talked to the ladies up front and they let him know that we wouldn’t be able to pick out glasses due to the office closing at 4. I asked if I could run out real quick to pick a pair for her, and he said he asked that too and they told him no. After he checked her dilated eyes we left to check out. I asked for myself if my mom could pick out glasses and the lady advised no because they closed at 4. I asked why was I allowed to select a 3:00pm appointment? She gave some answer that the time is still allowed to be picked. I have a real problem with this. In all my years of purchasing glasses I have never been told I couldn’t pick my glasses before I left my appointment. If that’s how you run a business it is poor customer service. You’re telling me these ladies couldn’t stay an extra 15-20 minutes over to make sure a customer was satisfied? And I’m talking about basic satisfaction because picking your frames and lenses is apart of the appointment. If you’re closing at 4 pm and you’re sticking with that then 3pm does not need to be offered as an appointment time. The latest appointment time you need to offer is 2pm. Do you know how hard it is to get a disabled person who is wheel chair bound out to appointments? I had already knew that I would have to bring her back out to get the glasses, but now I had to bring her to the appointment, bring her back to pick her glasses, and then bring her back to get the glasses. Then because she is mentally impaired she doesn’t understand why she didn’t get to pick the glasses because that’s what you do when you come to the eye doctor. Once we get these glasses we will not be back. Because of how knowledgeable the doctor was I was going to move me and my 2 kids from My Eye Dr to Pearle, but I definitely won’t be doing that now. I wouldn’t refer you to anyone. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
