  Was apprehensive about doing "counseling" or "therapy"....never thought it was for me. But Colleen took away any anxiety I may have had right away. Very professional, but also super caring and insightful. She worked around my schedule and has been available anytime I needed anything. Highly recommend.

  I was very hopeful to start marriage counseling with Colleen and during our initial session she seemed extremely knowledgeable. However, her business practices have been unprofessional, so my husband and I decided not to continue seeing her. I made our first appointment for October 27, a Friday, at 6:00. I received a text message that day at 4:45 asking if we could reschedule for the next day at 5. Usually my husband and I have very tight schedules, but we were available the next day, so we agreed. We went to our session and unknowingly went over our time...this was a first time experience for both of us. Colleen never stated that our time had run out and never gave us the option to end the session or continue for an additional charge. Instead, we continued the session and when I checked my bank account on Monday, we were charged 80 dollars more than we had originally been told. When I called and spoke to her, Colleen offered to take 50 dollars off of our next session, which was scheduled for Friday evening. I agreed with the offer and confirmed our upcoming appointment. Thursday my husband and I both got a text confirming our Friday evening appointment. When we arrived on Friday, the office was closed. I called Colleen and she stated that she texted both me and my husband earlier that day asking if we could come in at 5:00 instead, and when we didn't show up at 5:00, she says she texted us again stating she would not be there for our appointment. Neither me or my husband received any of these texts, but had received any other text from her or the counseling office. If she could not make the appointment, the appropriate step to take would be to call us and let us know, escpecially when we didn't get back to her about coming in at 5 instead. She asked if we could reschedule for the next day, but I declined as this is the second week in a row that the same scenario has happened. I am disappointed that we will not continue seeing her as she seemed like a good counselor. However, she needs to improve her professionalism and business practices.
