- LWLynn WillisSep 5, 20241.0I was traveling through Juneau and came down with Covid. I was sent to the pharmacy to pick up medication by a local clinic after being respectfully seen and diagnosed. I am on foot and not feeling well at all. I was masked, social distancing and had sanitized before going in - all appropriate PPE to not contaminate those around me. The pharmacy tech/cashier loudly stated my diagnosis outloud and asked me to leave the building to stand in the rain outside of their pharmacy to complete my purchase. The young woman at the window was more disappointing: disrespectful, non compassionate and argumentative. I am a health care provider myself and I would never have treated a patient in the manner that this pharmacy treated me. I hope this services to improve education for these employees.
- PDPatrick DNov 22, 20232.0The most important thing to remember is Fred Meyer Pharmacy dropped Premera, the most common non-employer-provided insurance in AK. Doesn't make much sense to me. You can still go here but you'll pay more, and "free flu shots" aren't free ($95!). Better going elsewhere if you have Premera.
