I had my eye examination done here, and the experience was excellent. They take their time and never rush, making sure you fully understand what’s happening with your eyes. From the exam to picking up my glasses, everything was handled smoothly.
The team is very helpful and professional. Special thanks to Laura, who explained everything clearly and truly knows what she’s doing. Kudos to the entire staff!

They suck, I went to the West end mall I saw the optometrist there they wrote a prescription the prescription is not even the right prescription and I didn't even need progressive glasses I just needed reading glasses I went to a different optometrist and actual specialist because the glasses were making nauseous I couldn't see I couldn't drive and I had to pay another $400 to get reassessed and come to find out that Specsavers information was completely opposite of what the specialist have tested so you robbed me over $700 I think your company is a scam and definitely will not be writing any type of good reviews. Plus at the West Evans mall I was not properly fitted for my frames so when the glasses were delivered not only were they the wrong size and not the shape of my face they were also men's glasses and didn't fit at all if I could give you guys a negative 10 I would give you a negative 10. I also tried to get a refund and they said that they would replace the glasses but they wouldn't be giving me my money back which is so wrong considering that I do not need glasses in the first place

Paid $150 for an eye test and they won’t give me my prescription which is insane to me. I went in two weeks ago for an appointment and my eyes were “too dry” to get contacts that day . (I’ve been wearing contacts for 4 years) they made me buy their eye drops and ointment and I waited 3 weeks and then had another appointment. After this appointment they said my eyes are better but want to wait another minimum of another two weeks and wanted me to get more eye drops and refuse to give me my prescription. Last time I had an eye test with them it was a hassle too. After I get my prescription I won’t be coming back.

I’ve been an Specsavers customer for quite a while, and I used to be very satisfied with their service. However, lately I’ve noticed some changes that are a bit disappointing. They no longer provide things they used to, like a bag for eyeglasses, free lens solution, or discount coupons.
I’ve also noticed that the quality of their eyeglasses seems to have declined compared to before, unless you choose the branded options—which aren’t affordable for everyone.
I’m wondering if this could be due to inflation or cost-cutting, but overall the experience doesn’t feel the same as it used to.

Very disappointing experience at Specsavers West Edmonton Mall.
I’ve always come here because the staff are usually friendly and the deals are great. Unfortunately, during my recent visit to purchase glasses, the staff member assisting us, Baljeet (she wasn’t wearing a name tag so I had to ask another staff member), repeatedly pushed additional lens upgrades even after we politely declined several times because we were on a tight budget.
After we said no, her attitude noticeably changed. When she returned my insurance card, she carelessly tossed it back on the counter and it almost fell to the floor. It felt very disrespectful and unprofessional.
The rest of the staff at this location have always been kind and helpful, which is exactly why we keep coming back. Because of this experience, I will also be sending feedback to management. I hope they take this seriously and speak with the staff member about her behavior.
