I came to Next Step Physio after suffering a pretty bad shoulder injury while playing badminton — significant muscle damage and serious mobility issues that were affecting my day-to-day life. I was honestly worried I wouldn't get back on the court anytime soon.
Physio Amee put together a treatment plan that was thorough, progressive, and actually worked. She took the time to understand exactly what was going on and didn't just treat the symptoms — she addressed the root cause and gradually rebuilt my strength and range of motion.
A few weeks in, I was already noticing a huge difference. I'm now back on the badminton court feeling stronger than before the injury. I can't recommend Next Step Physio enough — if you're dealing with a sports injury or mobility issues, this is the place to go. Thank you Physio Amee and the whole team!

I had a really good experiance at Nextstep physio clinic for my sports injuries. I went in for a sprained ankle, a shoulder strain, and a hamstring pull, and they helped me recover from all of them.
The staff is super friendly and explains evrything in a simple way. The treatment plans were easy to follow and really helped me get back to playing. I never felt rushed and they always made sure I was improving.
If you play ice hockey, I highly reccomend Nextstep physio clinic. They really understand sports injuries and how to get you back on the ice safely.

I had an excellent experience at Next Step Physiotherapy & Neuro Rehabilitation after my motor vehicle accident. I went there for treatment for concussion and whiplash, and the care I received was outstanding.
The team is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. They took the time to thoroughly assess my condition, explain the recovery process, and create a personalized treatment plan that addressed both my concussion symptoms and whiplash pain. I always felt heard and supported throughout my rehab journey.
The clinic is well-organized, welcoming, and very accommodating with appointments. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, I’ve made significant progress in my recovery.
I highly recommend Next Step Physio & Neuro Rehab to anyone needing physiotherapy after a motor vehicle accident, especially for concussion and whiplash treatment. Great service all around!

Physiotherapy is a health care service that supports improved movement, reduced pain, and recovery from injury or physical conditions.

In many cases, including in Alberta, you can see a physiotherapist without a doctor’s referral. Some insurers may still require one for coverage.
What conditions does physiotherapy treat?
Physiotherapy can help with musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, balance issues, post-surgical recovery, pelvic health concerns, work and auto injuries, and more.

Your physiotherapist will review your medical history, discuss your concerns, assess movement, and begin planning care tailored to your goals.
What do I need to bring to my first visit?
Bring any relevant medical reports, imaging results, insurance information, and a list of symptoms or questions you have.
How long will my physiotherapy sessions last?
Session length can vary based on your condition and plan but typically ranges from 30 to 60 minutes.
How many physiotherapy treatments will I need?
The number of visits depends on your condition, recovery progress, and goals. Your physiotherapist will discuss a treatment plan with you.
Will physiotherapy be painful?
Some techniques may cause slight discomfort, but therapists work within your tolerance and explain what to expect.
Do you accept insurance or direct billing?
We offer direct billing to extended health plans. Check with your insurer and the our clinic admin team before booking.

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows the therapist to assess and work with your movement.
