What a disappointing customer service experience. I clearly showed the brand I was looking for and was told they don’t carry it—despite it being listed on their own website. The situation got worse when the employee reacted negatively to my accent. I am not Canadian by birth, and neither was she, yet I was treated poorly and made to feel inferior because of it.
When I arrived, it felt as though I was just “any random person.” She continued chatting with another employee instead of assisting me and showed little to no knowledge of high-end brands, which was surprising considering I was ready to spend close to $1,000 on glasses.
I left and went to Sunglass Hut instead, where the treatment was absolutely wonderful. The contrast in customer service was undeniable.

I went to LensCrafters for new glasses and had an excellent experience thanks to Amber. I asked a lot of questions and she was patient, thorough, and genuinely helpful the entire time. She made sure I understood my options and felt confident in my decision.

I was told by the staff that my glasses would be ready in two weeks (around Christmas). So I went there during Boxing Day, I’ve been informed that my glasses wasn’t ready yet. Came back again on January 2, was told rudely by the staff that glasses aren’t due yet. I told her that I’ve been told it’s two weeks. She talked to me in a very condensing way saying none of their staff would say that. Me and my husband were shocked as we were being gaslighted and talked down to. I would’ve understood if she had explained that due to holiday season, their glasses might arrive later than expected. But to imply that we are lying is just a different level of unprofessionalism. No empathy nor professionalism was shown. Take your money elsewhere.

Good day.Thank you for your service yesterday. Your staff were very courteous and professional, and we have generally appreciated our experiences at your shop. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with the contact lenses I purchased yesterday. From the first use, these lenses have caused severe burning, itching, and pronounced dryness in my eyes. The discomfort is so intense that I am unable to wear them for even ten minutes. This is unacceptable, especially given that I purchased them on the understanding that they would be safe and comfortable for regular use.I have attempted to contact your store multiple times by phone, but my calls have not been answered. The lack of response has added significantly to my frustration and concern, as I am currently experiencing ongoing eye irritation without any guidance or support from your side.As I am visiting from Yukon and will only be in town for one week, I urgently require a prompt and effective solution. I request that you address this matter immediately by arranging an assessment and providing a suitable remedy, whether through an exchange, refund, or an alternative product that does not cause these symptoms. Please treat this as a priority and respond at your earliest convenience, as I am presently unable to use the lenses at all.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
