I recently visited LensCrafters in Southcentre Mall to fix the hinge on my glasses. The temple needed to be glued, but unfortunately the repair was not done properly. Too much glue was used and now the glasses are no longer wearable. What was frustrating is that after the repair didn’t work, I was told they usually don’t perform this type of fix and that they were just “trying to do me a favour.” This was never mentioned when I first brought the glasses in. If I had known that beforehand, I would likely have looked for another option. The associate did try to see if another temple could be used to replace the damaged one, but unfortunately nothing worked. The only option suggested was to try to find the same frame online so they could transfer my lenses into it. That wasn’t really the solution I was hoping for, and no other alternatives were offered. It also would have been helpful if the current promotions had been mentioned, since purchasing a new pair might have been an option worth considering. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with the outcome and the lack of clear communication. In the past, I’ve had positive experiences here with no issues, which is why this visit was particularly disappointing.

Selam was wonderful to work with. She helped pick out the glass and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Very friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. They also have a great selection, reasonably priced products, and some really great offers.

Inna and Sarah were exceptional helps and went above and beyond with all of my needs. I have never received this amazing quality of hospitality at any other establishment and I feel very cared for by these 2.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
