- JCJan CApr 15, 20255.0We went there due to some problems we were having with my mother's walker, which was purchased elsewhere. The technician was very thorough, patient, and kind to my mother. After fixing the problem for which we booked the appointment, he asked about the current settings of the forearm attachments. When my mom said she had been having trouble with it, he took the time to work with her to make several adjustments so that she could be more comfortable and safe. The service charge was less than expected, too. They also provide service calls at a very reasonable price if a person is unable to bring in their walker/chair/scooter for service. Highly recommend.

To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.

If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).

Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
