Used this service after an at home fall and hospital experience. My friend was weak and nervous about being home alone. On Boarding, service and billing was all easy. Excellent care provided and easy to adjust as my firend got stronger. There is a portal to review the visits and communicate with the team. Highly reccomend.

I worked before the other home care company as a caregiver but the Home instead is different and the way they taught you about their home health care policies and procedures is awesome and they care for you i love the training part and the trainer Elaine and luna are awesome and great personalities thank you Home instead i am glad to have the part of your family.

Had Francesca on Sunday and she was outstanding. She kept very busy in the time she was here and the place looked fantastic. She is very self motivated and needs very little training she is the best.

I enjoyed having Farrah and Shannon visit with me and help with supper very much. We always had pleasant conversation and I appreciated the time they took to ensure that I went for my nightly walk and tidied the kitchen when the meal was done. Although I no longer have Home Instead's services, it is good to know that when I need them again, they will be there for me. Being an 85 year old widower, it was nice to have the company again. The booking process was very easy and all of my questions were answered. Thank you ladies.

After 2 years of fantastic service and care for my 82 year old mother things have changed when losing a long time care giver because she resigned to the company. None of the new cargivers have been able to give the same quality of care that my mother has been used to and deserves. I have talked to all the managers possible and even to the owner of the company and for the past 2 month the service has been harmfull to my mother.
During one shift my mother was left isolated in her room with out access to food, water, or moving facilities as her wheelchair, food and liquid where left outside of her reach. Her pijamas where not even changed, and she was not cleaned. Therefore she was deprived of food and liquid for more than 8 hours and left with out the basic care for an entire day.
Yesterday she was left on her wheelchair but was unable to move because another chair was left in her way. There was nothing she can do. A week ago her stocking socks where put inappropriately resulting in swelling and inflammation of her foot because of the damage caused.
All of the above is evidence of negligence. Each of these acts was done by 3 diferent caregivers.
All the instructions for the care of my mother are written in 10 simple steps to do, and have been given to the case manager and also are printed in paper and located in 3 diferent places of my home. The company has been servicing my mother for more than 2 years and despite that, they do not know how to translate and replicate a similar quality of care in between caregivers. Lately even some of the caregivers do not talk to my mother becuase they do not have the ability to communicate with understandable English.
Unfortunately the response of the company today was to call me and say that we have not been patient enough, that not every care giver is the same and not everyone can give quality of service and that the quality of service can not be garantied becase it depends on the individuality of the caregiver. Also I was told that I am not allowed to request a fluent English spoken caregivers because it is inappropriate. Comunication is the most important thing in an interaction, isn't?
My mother is losing the most adorable, carrying and almost angelical person (that can only take care of her for 3 days and that has been doing it for 2 years), because the company does not have another qualified, responsable and with common sence person to take care of her the other 2 days of the week and neither has been able to train one.
The company has never allowed this outstanding caregiver to work more than 3 days with my mother despite of our numerous requests, because of their policies. This company does not allow to have only one caregiver for the care of a love one. There is no flexibility on this despite that this does not benefit the client. It is obvious that the company prefers to risk the care of the elder and allow negligence than to let the proven excellence prevail.
My mother is extremely sad and suffering with this obligated lost.
My mother has been blessed with the care that she has recieved for the past 2 years and we thank the 2 individual caregivers (Eve and Debra) for their human quality, the care and love given to her. The life of my mother has been better thanks to their care. We thank them from the bottom our hearts.
