My dad visited the store today after seeing a different eye doctor, where he learned that the glasses he had been prescribed were completely incorrect. He had been given a prescription of 1.00 and 1.25, when his actual prescription is 0.75 in both eyes. He has been wearing these incorrect glasses for an entire year, experiencing constant headaches and eye pain, not realizing the wrong prescription was the cause.
When he went back to the store to address the issue, they insisted that he had approved the prescription and placed the blame on him. Even his reading glasses were found to be the wrong prescription. It’s concerning how easily such an important medical detail can be mishandled, causing someone this much discomfort.
To make matters worse, they refused to replace the lenses and told him he would need to pay for a new eye exam and new lenses, totaling around $500. This is unreasonable and extremely disappointing.
