- LLLLL4 days ago5.0I’ve now adopted 5 animals from MHS & I cannot say enough positive things about the facility & staff. The general public has zero idea what the employees of MHS do for these animals. The emotional, exhausting days. The work that they put into everything single animal that comes through those doors. They suffer more heartbreak than anyone could ever imagine, then they go home, wake up, & do it all over again. I am so grateful for my animals I have adopted through them (most recently 2 kittens back in July). But just as grateful for the staff, volunteers, & the thankless jobs they do day in & day out! I hate to hear anyone talking down on the shelter because they truly have no idea what goes on behind shelter doors. I would have never gotten a chance to adopt one of my dogs had the shelter just “given up on him” as so many people claim they do. They would truly save every animal if they could & they deserve so much more recognition. Please volunteer & donate instead of assuming.

Also have adopted two cats over the last 5 years (Mr. Monopoly is the older cat and Pepper Lou is the baby girl) and never had any health issues with them. The cat room is always clean and every kitten I've seen in it has been happy and healthy. You're sure to find your furever friend here 🐾❤️

- SCShana ColeJul 26, 20265.0Got a dog from here a couple months back and he is such a good boy. His name was elroy but we renamed him Levi. And he is so sweet and playful. He loves to play fetch. Very happy we stopped in and met him.
