Seriously the BEST food and drink in Morgantown. I’ve tried something different every time I eat here and everything is fantastic. My new favorite place to eat.
Went to Kavel’s for dinner last night. Have heard good things about it. Unfortunately, I have to say I was extremely disappointed. First off, service was great. Our server was very kind and helpful. The management, not so much. I had a steak that I ordered medium rare. It came to the table and was essentially Pittsburgh blue. After it was sent back, it was obvious they only placed the food under a hot lamp and returned it to our table after a few minutes. Our sides just tasted mainly like pepper. Our server really did her best to help us. Management came up to our table after and asked how our experience was. After telling him, he offered to make more food because he didn’t want anyone to leave hungry. Instead, I just left hungry and dissatisfied. Would not recommend and will not return.

Kavel’s is hands down one of Morgantown’s hidden gems. The food is consistently incredible, and the cocktails are so well crafted. Kait, truly Morgantown’s best bartender, makes the best red velvet espresso martini. It’s a must try. My favorite dinner dish is the marry me chicken, and their desserts are just as impressive. Their brunch is also one of my favorites in town. Overall such a great spot! 10/10 recommend!

We came on a whim for the wide variety their menu offered and they did not disappoint! The food was phenomenal. The service was top tier. It’s difficult to truly explain how enjoyable our time was! The atmosphere was inviting. The servers and management are truly a step above. There is great, and then there is Kavel’s. This place is an absolute gem. If you’re looking for a clean, well versed restaurant with friendly, knowledgeable, and personable staff; look no further. 11 out of 10 we will undoubtedly return.
This is a lovely, local place with very good little story and dedicated service staff. They're very friendly and kind. As for food, I only had the ahi tuna appetizer, which was plentiful and very tasty, and the bruschetta, which was absolutely devine and super fresh. The only ding on the place is that it needs a little refreshing, but that doesn't detract from the really good food.
