- JCJosh CrabtreeMar 24, 20261.0I have been ordering the Backyard BBQ Chicken Pizza from Pizza Hut for over 10 years. I used to order it constantly when I lived in Oregon, and it was always amazing. Unfortunately, the pizza I received today from this Hurricane location was completely unacceptable. It was essentially a cardboard box, absolutely no sauce and practically no toppings. I called the store simply to provide feedback about how poorly the pizza was made. I explicitly stated that I did not want a free pizza or a refund. I just wanted to let them know about the quality issue. The employee working the front, Taylor, was incredibly defensive. She immediately told me that their pizza maker has been there for 10 years, "does not make mistakes," and that I was simply wrong. I then asked to speak to the General Manager. The manager, Dusty, got on the phone, stated she was the GM, and instead of resolving the issue, she completely escalated it. When I casually referred to the pizza maker as a "he," I was aggressively lectured about pronouns and assuming gender, entirely deflecting from the actual customer service issue at hand. When I asked for the corporate number to report this, I was told it was "above her pay grade" and that she "did not care." Dusty claimed they were a privately owned franchise and refused to provide any contact information for her boss. Instead, I was given a bogus story that the only way to reach upper management was to wait for an automated email attached to my order, clearly a foolproof plan to avoid any real accountability. Terrible food and absolutely bizarre, combative customer service from both the front staff and the General Manager. I just wanted to give helpful feedback to improve the product, but instead, I was argued with, lectured, and dismissed. I will not be returning to this location
