One of the employees turned off the warmers under the food. The hot food was cold and the cold was warm. I was very disappointed ☹️. The staff was apologetic.

If breakfast had a Hall of Fame, Shoney’s would be front and center. The bacon is crisp, the eggs are fluffy (them omlets tho!!), and those French toast sticks!? Heaven's to Betsy dont forget the biscuits n gravy! It could make a grown man tear up. Everything tastes like it was made by someone’s Southern grandma who truly cares about your happiness. I would not want to eat breakfast anywhere else...and honestly, I don’t know why anyone would! Come hungry, leave happy, and probably need a nap. 10/10 would pile my plate again!

This is a new location and is obviously in need of training and a bit of direction. The kid seating us wasn't sure where menus were, how much the buffet was or that it's common customer service to clean the table before you seat guests. We would have gladly stood and waited by the counter. The server was just not there. Sounded like a bunch of confusion at the buffet. When the server showed up, my husband was extremy unimpressed the man came out from the back, clearly was eating because he had white ranch all in his beard and was chewing when he struggled to start the dining process. I don't think the meal was worth $15 per adult. I used to work in food and when I was a manager, I would not have stood for the experience I had. For Shoney's: just make sure your staff can answer normal simple questions. Make sure your dining area is clean. If you are eating, let another staff member know so they can say "hey, your server is finishing a break and will be with you shortly. Let me get your drinks for you." Make sure you give out correct menus. My kiddos never got a menu, so they got the buffet. Onto the buffet, make sure you don't have brown lettuce on the salad bar, if it doesn't smell right, it isn't good. I could smell a mushpile that I couldn't identify and I wouldn't put that out. If you won't eat it, don't put it out for guests. Make sure you actually flip the salad bar if you don't put it out "fresh" so you dont have slimy veggies (green peppers, mushrooms, cucumbers). You don't want sick customers because of lazy staff. I also found it odd I didn't see a manager. It was a little busy and I expected to see a manager due to this being a new opening. Which maybe they were training in the back but that's speculative. I would have certainly given constructive feedback, but the opportunity never presented itself. I have high standards and treat others how I want treated. This location has high potential. Push harder to do better and maybe this Shoney's won't be like the rest (not easy to find them.)
