The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant’s 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.

- DDDiane3 days ago5.0It was our 34th anniversary so we thought we would try the Del Bar as it was award winning. They weren't wrong! Our server greeted us with happy anniversary and took quality care of us throughout dinner. We were very impressed with the well oiled machine the employees had going for accommodating guests with seating as others completed their meals. The dinner as well as the drinks were amazing. Our server even brought us a fudge sundae with 2 spoons for us to enjoy after dinner for our special day! Thank you Del Bar for making our night so comfortable and enjoyable after all these years- we will make it a tradition from here on out!

I think it was cooked perfectly and the quality was great but, I think it's lacking flavor. Also didn't really care for the dip it came with. That's just my personal opinion. We'll definitely return but we'll just try a different appetizer! We didn't have to wait because we had a reservation.
