Three problems:
1. I needed something to eat, semi-emergency situation, was already in the car traveling towards the Sunset Dr location. So I called. Asked for any deals they had, didn't want to spend a fortune, just needed something to eat here. Was told, slowly, by someone in a call center 5000 miles from this location, the three "best deals." None of which were great. After ordering, paying for, and picking up my pizza, when I could search online myself, immediately found a deal that was 5 dollars cheaper. So problem 1, lied to by the people who answer the phones for Papa John's.
2. Phone guy told me my pizza would be ready for pickup in 25 minutes. Sigh. Ok, was less than 10 minutes away but whatever, I get it, maybe there are 15 orders ahead of mine that haven't hit the oven yet. Got to store, dog in car, didn't want to leave dog alone for 15 minutes while I twiddled thumbs in lobby, so far in car for 10 minutes staring at the Papa John's sign. After 20 minutes total, went into store, my pizza has been sitting there on the counter cooling for at least 5 of the minutes I've been killing time. Should be happy it got done ahead of schedule, right? Well no, I would have been happy if you told me 15 minutes instead of 25 if it would be ready in 15. Waste less time, have hotter pizza.
3. Got where I was going, sat down to wolf some pizza, picked up the tub of whatever that tasty psuedo-garlic-butter is so I can dunk some crust, and it dribbles out of the already-open tub onto my leg and the floor. Cool, now I got a really tasty leg, stained clothing, a greasy floor, and a dipping sauce that I cannot trust to not poison me. Neato.
The pizza itself was meh-fine, not spectacular.
All in all, not a great dining experience.
