  I don't visit here much. The staff are friendly, and helpful. I don't know but it seems McDonald's here is understaffed. I can't really tell because there's a wall between the kitchen and the dining area. The service is not great. If you walk in to place an order you'll be greeted with two kiosks and if you're lucky someone to help you at the register. They're not prompt at helping customers. I find that backwards. Go through drive and service has been atrocious. The number of times I have pulled away after placing an order and not having my money taken... Likely exceeds the number of times I've actually ordered anything. That's being honest. I find this modern store concept that they build a few years ago here, terrible. It gives against humanity and what any dining facility should be. With the dining area separate from the kitchen and the staff, it feels like you're ordering from ghosts and left to fend for yourself until you're order is done. Or perhaps McDonald's wants to hide something. Between the kiosks the non-existent staff presence and the echo chamber of a dining area... That is sometimes very messy. I don't really want to go there. People don't just go to restaurants to eat. One of the best ways to connect with anybody is over a meal. McDonald's has removed the humanity and kept the food. McDonald's in Tomah: you should focus primarily on staffing your store. Helping your customers, and promptly. Keeping the place clean. And BUILD A BETTER STORE, because this building is an affront to humanity.

  Just remember to ask for round up to donate to Ronald MacDonald House...every little bit from all those cars you let through without asking...is a child and a family needing help!

  So i went through the drive-thru and and asked for no shredded cheese and again when I got home they had cheese on them. My last post you guys told me it was due to me using door dash and told me to contact them to have this resolved! This is clearly not a "door dash" issue it is a "store" issue! Considering when you use door dash they dont go in and place the order for YOU. Every single time I go to this location and ask for no shredded cheese they take the shredded lettuce off and keep the cheese on or just straight up ignore the no cheese request!

  Burger buns were hard and old, but reason I’m writing this review is because a worker walked into the bathroom same time I did, she went to the bathroom and flushed and walked out without washing her hands. You can hear the automatic soap dispenser and the super loud Dyson air dyer and she didn’t use either and walked out. And when I refilled my drink you could see her in the kitchen handing food. We are very disgusted after we had just eaten before this happened.

  The only customers. Waited 5+ minutes for my food; Burger and two orders of fries. The fries were were really old. And my burger was so lazily made it was half off the bun. I should have gotten my receipt for a refund. 7:50pm Jan 17th, 2026.
