  Service was quick and food was great. Would have liked a little more attention at our table with drinks and more salsa and chips, but overall good experience.

  My wife and I stopped for lunch and will be back to explore more of the menu. We received the standard chips & salsa to start off with. I thought the salsa could be spicier, but my wife thought is was alright. My wife had the regular Margarita and I had the Jumbo Texas Margarita. Both were very good. Since it was lunch, the food came out fast and hot. My wife had the lunch special, "Speedy Gonzalez" that had one beef enchilada, one beef taco and beans or rice, she had the beans. She thought everything was very good. You have a choice of black beans or refried beans. I had a Cheese Quesadilla and a Chorizo street taco. Both were very good. The taco came with a nice hot salsa that I liked on both items. I am not one to fill up with beans and rice, so I normally order just what I want from what is on the menu. The service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was bright with the windows on a sunny day. The restaurant was clean, a mix of tables and booths and a full bar in the middle of the restaurant. Overall we were very happy with our first meal at this New Mexican restaurant.

  Unfortunately we did not have the best experience, we attempted to order from their website to be delivered. We waited for over an hour without any progress on our online order request, we contacted the restaurant and were told they don’t do deliveries. Hopefully we will receive a refund.

  Santo Tequila - Stoughton, WI Stoughton finally has a solid Mexican spot worth talking about. Santo Tequila opened up and if you’ve eaten at La Cantina, you already know what you’re getting into. Same owners, same general vibe, and honestly the same reliable food that keeps people coming back. That’s not a knock, it’s just the truth. The space is genuinely cool. Way nicer than you’d expect pulling into a strip in Stoughton. Floral installations hanging from the ceiling, a full bar wall packed with tequila bottles, RGB lighting behind the bar, and a “Welcome” neon sign tucked into a purple flower tree near the entrance. It’s got personality. Food is what it is. Fajitas come out on a screaming hot cast iron, the chicken is tender with melted cheese on top, shrimp had good seasoning, and the sides are your standard rice and beans done competently. Nobody’s reinventing the wheel here and they’re not trying to. It’s satisfying, portions are solid, and you leave full and happy. The margaritas are genuinely worth ordering. The strawberry blood orange version came out in a cobalt blue glass garnished with a dried citrus wheel and looked almost too good to drink. Almost. Service was the best part of the whole experience. Prompt, friendly, and they actually seem to care. Four stars on food, five on everything else. Worth the trip.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

  Been to the new location twice, and am pleased to find the same excellent quality. My food was fresh and delicious. I had a combo once with an excellent homemade chile relleno, a street taco and a tostada. Next visit pollo cantina (I think that’s the name) Tender chicken cutlets, onions, mushrooms with queso and rice. Meat and veg with a super hot, smokey sear. My husband had a veg combo once and a seafood chimichanga and enjoyed both. Great homemade salsa. Rice almost as good as my friend in AZ’s mom’s rice, which is my gold standard. It’s enough for me to enjoy leftovers the next day. Only suggestion would be to dim the overhead lighting.
