  We absolutely Loved our entire experience here. The atmosphere the food the service all of it absolutely perfect can’t recommend this place enough. If you are in the area definitely stop by and try this place out. Every dish we had was excellent the scallops, the short rib, eggplant, Parmesan, and the pecorino pasta. The crème brûlée, the tiramisu.

  This is the premier, best restaurant in Oconomowoc if you’re looking for a place with very high quality food, a great atmosphere, and a fantastic view. I’ve been to Lago about 10 times now and have tried a lot of their menu.. lamb-incredible, halibut-incredible, arctic char-incredible, meat rage-incredible, scallops-incredible, chicken piccata-incredible, beef filet-incredible, bruschetta-incredible, calamari-incredible, mushroom ravioli-incredible… you can’t go wrong here and they will cater to food allergies and or sensitivities where they are able to. The one thing I would change is they could provide more bread up front instead of giving each person one small piece but I understand wanting to make sure everyone has a warm piece. Their wine selection is great, the wait staff are very attentive, nice and not pushy and you get a view of the lake from almost every seat. I would highly recommend if you haven’t been here yet or are considering a nice meal at a great spot.

  We were here for our anniversary/ Valentine's Day. The food was excellent. But we were more impressed with our server Sandra, who took the time to treat a special needs child at the table next to us, like a normal person. With dignity and respect. She would address him directly, get on his level and make sure he had what he needed. Food was good, but her service was better!

  Excellent food, service and environment. I went on a Saturday night and it was busy but we were seated before our reservation. We all had fish dishes (char and swordfish) and they were outstanding.

  I had the yellow fin tuna it was perfect, my husband had the sword fish it tasted good but was mushy. We heard the waitress telling the couple next to us they couldn't take too much time, they needed to turn the tables! We ordered dessert and coffee, when she was bringing the coffee the same waitress told us that the supervisor was telling her she was talking too much and someone was waiting for our table. It was rude. I told her I would take my dessert home and we would be out of their hair. For 1 we did not observe her talking too much to anyone, not to mention they should talk to the customers. For 2 we were spending $200.00 at least and do not expect to be shoed out the door. I don't know if we will return.
