Oy.
The concept is so fun—a old-timey spy-themed restaurant? Great, love it. But who is this for? There were like kid puzzles throughout the restaurant, but straight to full pinups of bond girls in the men's bathroom. VERY pixelated pinups.
Our waiter was hard to hear over all the chaos that our area brought. We were in the back room where panels on the wall moved, which was cool for us once, but it got really annoying really quickly when I was just trying to have a conversation with my gal pals, my sow friends. Eventually, a family came in with a screaming baby that screamed so loudly and consistently we had to ask to be moved. Not the restaurants fault inherently, but the family just yelled at their baby to stop yelling. Seemed like the type of clientele this place attracts.
We got moved to the front area, which was much calmer, but our food (sandwiches) took over half an hour to come out? Really? For sandwiches? And they were reeeeally mid. There was unfortunately nothing special about the food. Edible, sure, but I would never purposely go here again.

Very unique and fun experience going here. Our server CHERRY was especially great, and went out of her way to show us all the hidden tricks and gags throughout the restaurant, which really left a lasting impression that we’re very thankful for!

We were sat at a table right next to a button on the wall where if you pressed it a plate shifted on the wall. To start with, this annoying little kid came right up to our table and repetitively hit the button so much we moved tables. Also we were sitting at the table for an our and a half waiting for our relatively simple meal. Our waiter didn’t come by at all and when he did he just said “gonna check on your food” so quiet none of us heard and left before we could even look at him and after that he just disappeared. I’m just trying to have a fun evening with my family and look around the cool building but we are all hungry and we put in a bad mood. When we finally got our food it was mediocre at best for waiting an hour and a half for it. We were given soup containers for sandwiches and burgers which were not going to fit at all and to top it all off we were given the wrong check. I will definitely not be coming back at least not for another 30 years.

I was excited to take my son to the Safehouse. While our server was nice, the service was not great. She never gave us silverware, I had to take some from another table. We received the wrong item and waited a very long time for the item we actually ordered. There were a group of 12-13 yr olds running around the restaurant the entire time we were there. They even bumped into an elderly couple who were seated and no one ever said anything to these kids. My son, was just annoyed by the end and just wanted to go. I wish it had been better.

** An Unforgettable Proposal Experience at the Safe House! **
A Heartfelt Thank You to Agent Rescue (Arlene) and Agent Solar
On Saturday, December 13th, I reached out to the Safe House with a special request: I wanted to propose to my girlfriend at the Newsroom Pub, the very place where we shared our first date on August 30th, 2024. The Newsroom Pub holds a deep meaning for us; it's not just a bar/private room, but the beginning of our story. My hope was to spend just 15 private minutes in the same spot where our journey began, making this milestone even more memorable.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine care, instantly feeling that our special night was in capable hands. I was referred to the manager, Agent Rescue (Arlene) when I called on the phone asking for 15 minutes, whose dedication went far beyond my expectations. Instead of simply granting us a brief private moment, she offered us the Newsroom Pub for the entire evening. She personally arranged for two agents to clean and prepare the room, ensuring it was immaculate for our big occasion. We were even served dinner and drinks right there, allowing us uninterrupted time together.
What truly stood out was a thoughtful gesture that made our night extraordinary: Agent Rescue surprised us by having led candles on a nicely made-up table and a couple of drinks made for us to start our night off.
Throughout the evening, Agent Solar, our waitress, provided impeccable service. She anticipated every need, discreetly checked in to see if we required anything, and always did so with a smile. Her professionalism and kindness helped the night flow seamlessly, letting us focus on each other and the significance of the moment. Agent Rescue also checked in as promised, making sure everything was perfect and that we were enjoying ourselves.
Thanks to Agent Rescue and Agent Solar, what began as a simple plan to propose, turned into the best night we've ever had at the Safe House. Their attention to detail, thoughtful gestures, and sincere hospitality created memories we’ll cherish forever. We couldn't stop sharing stories about how amazing they were and are determined to recommend the Safe House to everyone we know.
I wholeheartedly believe these Special Agents deserve extra recognition; a raise, a gift card, or something that reflects how much they contribute to making guests feel special. Their actions have inspired us to become lifelong patrons, and we’re excited to bring friends and family to experience the same extraordinary service. Thank you, Agent Rescue and Agent Solar, for making our engagement night unforgettable. I really wished I could have given each of you a $1,000 tip, but for now (I am broke from the ring and wedding plans), please accept our deepest gratitude and promise to return often!
