  My wife and I go there for the veggie dog because it l's the only vegetarian option...but it's delicious!!

  I sat in the drive thru for twenty minutes and watched three orders inside get taken and handed out before mine. I saw several workers setting aside food and cups for themselves, and not a single person handling food wore gloves. One person was touching her face and then bagging food… probably won’t be going back. In addition, none of my food came hot, and the worker tried to give me drinks and food that I didn’t order.

  Portillo's has always been a special treat I could only get in IL. This location isn't any part of the history. The service was poor, the food mediocre and all of the fun wasn't there. Total disappointment

  My first ever visit to a Portillo's so I don't know if this was a one-off or "normal" experience. My burger and side salad took almost 20 minutes on a slow evening. The burger had a lot of potential but was stone cold. Suspect someone forgot to call the salad out which held the whole order up. Burger wasn't juicy but you could tell it would have been if served right. On the plus side, the salad was generous and freshly made. Also appreciated the friendly attitude of the line staff and retro dining area with comfortable padded booths. The Italian beef sandwich looks tempting so we'll see. Might give it another shot.
