- JFJacob FahrenkrugJul 9, 20191.0First off this is solely a food rating as my service was pretty good albeit a little slow. The waitress was very friendly and polite. I ordered the 12 oz. seared prime rib, medium rare with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagas for sides. The prime rib if you want to call it that reminded me more of New York Strip rather than Prime Rib. The only fat on the steak was on it's perimeter. There was no marbled fat to begin with. The steak was done medium rather than medium rare. Seasonings were a bit much as it over powered the flavor of the steak. Finally the steak was a little dry. Did not taste like prime rib at all. The steak was supposed to be served with a side of horseradish sauce, but I got A1 as a substitute as they were fresh out of horseradish sauce. I ordered mashed potatoes which was the best thing on the plate but could have used a stab of butter to make them pop. I had grilled asparagas as my other side. The asparagas tasted like it was steamed first and tossed on the grill to add grill marks. Grill marks were only on one side.
