UPDATE: Keith, the manager, called and emailed me the very next day after I posted this review. I am adding a star as a result. He handled the matter appropriately and demonstrated the qualities of a professional and effective store leader. I did emphasize to Keith that I don’t know what the employee may be going through, and my intention was simply to bring the situation to his attention. He did not make excuses but was also compassionate, and it was clear that he genuinely cares about his employees and wants the best for his store. Writing a review really can help managers support their teams, so I encourage others not to write this store off if they have less-than-perfect experience.

Overall, I would typically rate this location five stars. The food is consistently good, ambiance is nice, and the majority of the team provides friendly and efficient service. While there have been a few occasions where my order was incorrect, even after being remade, I understand that mistakes can happen.
That said, I do want to address a recent service issue that was disappointing. During a recent visit, my partner and I were assisted by a staff member named Shelby (red hair, mentioned only in case she was ringing under a different name). Her demeanor was noticeably unprofessional and unwelcoming. She appeared visibly irritated, was abrupt in her interactions, and handled items roughly, such as slamming cups, which made us uncomfortable as customers.
We frequent this location approximately four times a week, and after this interaction, my partner returned on a separate day and experienced the same attitude. Given how often we visit and how much we generally enjoy this location, this was particularly disappointing. In fact, we found ourselves questioning whether we had done anything wrong during the ordering process due to the negative reaction we received.
Because this is a small community with many regular customers who value this Jimmy John’s, consistent and respectful customer service is especially important. For this reason, I am adjusting my rating to three stars. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended, to help improve the customer experience and support staff development moving forward.
