$50/plate for subpar tasting food. If you're gonna offend my taste buds at least provide me ketchup and salt as it was bold to believe it wouldn't be necessary..! You want 5 Star quality French food go to Lagniappe Brasserie! Unlike this place you'll need a reservation there.. You want 5 star quality American style food go to Eddie Martini's, Diamond Jim's Steakhouse, The Packing House, Jake's Cafe, The Delafield Hotel (l.d.) I got tired of this review but to the reader YOU'RE WELCOME

If you want an intimate, ever so classy dining experience, you must dine at Margaux in Brookfield, at The Corners on Lord street. You will be transported to Paris and not need your passport! The ambiance is exquis! Rich woods, soft lighting, large pastels of cascading flower arrangements from the high ceilings. Simply lovely. The soft French music completes the serene atmosphere. We enjoyed the Gougères (A mini puff pastry appetizer, pairing savory and sweet.) Luscious. My daughter enjoyed the Parisian Roasted Chicken. Exceptional! I could not turn down the Cognac Braised Short Rib. Knife not required! Drops apart with the touch of your fork! Nestled on a cloud of sweet potato puree. Flavor pairing perfection! And do not pass up the crispy brussel sprouts. An earthy vegetable enveloped by sweet caramelized agave, pieces of center cut bacon, with a hint of smokey heat from the espelette butter, then finished with fresh grated parmesan. Not to be missed! And finally, our server was the dearest woman. Attentive and kind. And our bill did not require a 2nd mortgage on the house! We will be back! I have another dinner in mind. My birthday is but days away! And we must do brunch with our friends one weekend! Kudos, Margaux! Au Revoir.

A swanky-like restaurant that could fit in downtown MKE, Chicago, or maybe Vegas, with the unfortunate prices to match. Had brunch here and got the French dip, which was very good. I also had the bloody and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor - worth a try if you’re into them. Overall, the food and service was pretty good. Only complaint is the prices, especially when it was only brunch. But I guess that’s just the way life is these days.

A group of coworkers and I came in for a much-needed night out and had a great experience. The drinks were fun (try the Bird Monet), the goat cheese appetizer was a table favorite, and my hanger steak was cooked perfectly. My friend highly recommended the Best Salad. We all shared a few desserts and the standout was the Banana Foster cake. Everything was so fantastically good!! What really stood out was our server, Vanessa. She was warm, professional, and truly elevated the whole evening. She took time to share details about the women-owned concept (and that she also owns Bel Air Cantina), offered a wine sample to help someone decide, and even proactively offered to split our checks. Those thoughtful touches made a big difference. We actually told her that night we were going to leave her an awesome review — sorry it took us a while 🙂 She absolutely deserves the recognition. Employees like her are a huge asset and a big reason guests return. Prices are a little higher, but the quality and experience made it worth it. We’ll definitely be back — especially to try brunch.

For my husband’s birthday we went for lunch and had a wonderful experience! Our server Alan was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We ordered the french toast, french dip sandwich, chicken sandwich and cheeseburger for entrees and tried a few of the non-alcoholic drinks (lavender & lemon and watermelon & basil) and Alan made me a special latte that was delicious! Alan made a special treat for the birthday boy as well 🍰. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was magnifique! je recommande vivement!!
