10/10 Experience at Twigs – Vancouver Waterfront
Twigs has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. I used to be a regular at the Lake Oswego/Bridgeport location, and I was obsessed with their Kahlúa pork tacos. They were my go-to comfort food. If I was having a rough day, that’s where I headed. When that location closed during Covid, it was the toughest losses in our restaurant scene.
My husband and I recently bought a vacation home out on Sauvie Island. We took our boat out and docked in downtown Vancouver to walk the waterfront for the first time. I had never been to this Twigs location before, and I’m so glad we went. It was even better than I remembered.
The tacos? Still absolutely perfect. The rest of the family loved their meals as well.
The host who sat us was quick, friendly, and communicative (I don’t remember their name) which set a great tone right away. Our server, Lynn, truly made the experience exceptional. She was professional, thoughtful, and warm. She interacted with my teen boys and effortlessly made them laugh which is no small feat and she really made the experience for us.
Overall, Twigs Vancouver completely exceeded my expectations. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. A solid 10 out of 10.
Can’t wait to come back to this location. It is going to be our new tradition when we take the boat out.

Sunday, our family had an early Thanksgiving day celebration at Twigs and a time was had. This is a perfect place for a large group and has such a nice atmosphere. Our servers name was Lynn. She was funny, friendly, and suggested wine and steak pairings. We ended up with the Coulotte steak special and everything was delicious. Great wine, martinis, and food service. We will definitely be back soon. Maybe for the the Christmas ships !

To start, our reservation was honored and slow for a Sunday. The bar tender made a good drink, but handled our ice rocks with her bare hands. The food we ordered was very basic, we asked for medium steak, but was more on the well side. I found a couple of hairs in my meal, and they didn’t even apologize for it and didn’t offer anything for it. Not looking for handouts, just an apology. The food was overpriced for what it was. Probably won’t be back.

Twigs bistro was fantastic! I dined with my 3 kids (teen/preteen) and they had a good kids menu.
My son got the chicken strips which a lot of time look like they just came off the Sysco truck in restaurants but these definitely looked like they were made there and he said they had a lot of flavor! My daughter ordered the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes from the kids menu and loved it, a good healthy choice and well cooked. My other son had the margarita pizza, he liked it but said it was a little salty, I didn’t disagree. They have draft rootbeer which is fantastic! I’d rather pay for a quality soda.
I had the strawberry refresher and the huckleberry Moscow mule (don’t judge me I was eating out with 3 kids alone haha). They were both very well balanced drinks, not overly sweet which I super appreciate! I also had the steak special with a Demi coulottes and the optional Gorgonzola crust, mashed potatoes, and seasonal veggies. The steak was perfectly medium rare as I asked for, the addition of the Gorgonzola was a fantastic choice with the Demi.
Daniel was our server and he was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind to my kids.
The atmosphere was good for all people wanting to dine, if you want a date night it could be romantic, they had several larger tables for those with large parties and as you can see it works well for families too. Reservations were easy to obtain through open table, I would recommend getting one but it did look like they may have had some open tables for walk in customers as well. I would recommend this restaurant and I would go back!

Stopped by Twigs for dinner and ended up having one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a while.
That ribeye is exceptional. Major props to the cook for a perfect medium well juicy and flavorful steak, and our server, Lynn. She assured me it would be perfect...and it was. Her sense of humor and thoughtful recommendations really stood out. You can tell she enjoys what she does. And service these days ain't what it used to be so we will definitely be back. Definitely ask for her!
