Placed an order for pickup at 4:00 a.m. and came through drive-up to pick it up, but was told their systems were down for orders. The issue is, I had already placed and paid for my order online, so pickup should not have been affected.
I arrived around 4:15 and was told it was due to the morning system update. I came back again at 4:25 and was told the systems were still down.
I understand technical issues happen, but this location seems to have ongoing problems. Based on other reviews and my own experience, this is not the first time. Previous curbside orders here have taken around 15 minutes or more, while other locations handle the same process much more smoothly.
I was eventually able to pick up my food, and most of the staff I interacted with were great. However, the employee taking orders, Kristina, came across as very rude. There was no courtesy, no “please” or “thank you,” and the interaction felt dismissive.
I even mentioned it when picking up my food, and another employee acknowledged that this is sometimes how she comes across. That really is not acceptable, especially in a customer-facing role.
To make matters worse, the meal we received was dried out, like it had been sitting too long under the warmer. The food quality did not match what you would expect after already dealing with delays and confusion.
This has not been my experience at other locations, especially Gig Harbor, where orders are usually handled much better and the food quality is consistent. Hopefully management takes a closer look at both service and overall operations at this location. 😕🍟

Just ordered dinner here for my kids here, order was incomplete, was asked to park in the pick up spot, waited 20 mins, I was told it would take 5mins. Called the location number, they picked up twice but the person was not speaking. I had to leave with an incomplete order. Very frustrating! Do better!!!

While in the drive thru, I was asked to pull my car forward to a parking spot and my food would be out shortly. Pretty standard for McDonald's. After waiting for 15 minutes, I called the location and spoke with the manager on duty and told them that I had been waiting and hadn't received my order, the manager was rude and didn't seem to believe me but agreed to look into it after coming to my car to view the receipt. He found that my order was given to someone else and said he would remake it. After another 20 minutes, the manager brought my order out to me. It took 35 minutes plus the initial 10 minutes of drive thru wait time to get my meal. I feel like the remaking of my order should have taken priority once discovered I was being truthful but clearly it was not. On top of that, I felt like the manager was trying to accuse me of lying to him to try to get a free meal or refund on my order, which was uncalled for. All in all, spending 45 minutes to get a drive thru order is absolutely ridiculous.

Service is absolute BS, the girl at the cash register was extremely rude, hitting the screen over and over, no communication, and then told the person handing me my food in the drive-through that she was rude, and she just looked at me and said oh. No wonder this location has three stars, it should be less in my opinion. Every time I have been here it has been a horrible experience.
I've been here multiple times now and can confidently say it's the worst mcdonalds drive-thru I've ever experienced. Mind you I don't even like to write reviews. I value food workers and understand the underappreciated difficulties of the job they have to deal with, but I just cannot believe how bad this location is with service and food. The wait time is egregious, expect to wait AT THE VERY LEAST 10 minutes. The lines are always long because of this. The workers are rude not only with their tone, but they have handled and handed to me my food in such an unnecessary, aggressive manner. I am very understanding and forgiving when a service worker may not be in the mood to deliver an uppity, ready-to-serve attitude, I don't even think they need to at all. But its a whole different thing to be straight-up rude. I get it, its not in the nicest neighborhood and you probably don't encounter the nicest customers, but this location really really lacks professionalism. And the food has been more than subpar compared to any other McDs.
Take the extra 8-10 mins and drive to the location on 38th by the mall. Even if the wait time might be the same, the service is way better.
