We were very disappointed with this restaurant and our experience. We received our appetizers and drinks quickly which tasted great. We ordered our main course which took over 1.5hrs! After such a long wait, we were even more disappointed because the food wasn’t even hot! It was barely warm and tasted ok. It was not worth the $62-70 per plate. The couple positives were that the restaurant has a great view, the appetizers tasted great, and the waitress was good. The saddest part is that I tried to contact someone to express my disappointment in lieu of writing a review but no one has contacted me back. I attempted to call 4x on 4 separate occasions and submitted a feedback form on their site. I like to give businesses a chance to fix a bad night or experience if possible but with no response and a terrible dinner, I have to believe they just don’t care. I am sad to say this once great restaurant is no longer a place I will choose to spend my money at.

What a disappointment! We had a reservation. At arrival we were told they were running behind and that we had to wait 15-20 minutes. Not a problem and we went to the bar. Ordering at the bar was slow, they were out of several beers and not the most friendly staff. 20 minutes turned into almost 1 hour until we finally got seated. Service at the table was slow and more what you would expect at a chain restaurant. I am happy to overlook all of this as long as the food is great, but unfortunately that was the biggest disappointment. Two of the appetizers (clam chowder, lobster bisque) were ok, the salads were nothing special though. The main dishes were overcooked and lacking flavor. Steak ordered as medium rare was cooked all the way through. Shrimps were rubbery. Scallops were overcooked. The pork chops were decent. Mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. The desserts were average. For $120 per person I am expecting much much better food and service.

A disappointing way to spend NYE. First, the good: Our server, Doug, was friendly and personable, and was working so hard to keep all of his tables happy…an impossible task given the bad to follow. He greeted us promptly, and was as attentive as possible. The restaurant was voted “Best View 2025” which I imagine is spectacular if it were not heavy fog. Sadly, we won’t experience that view since we will not return. Now the bad: the kitchen was clearly in the weeds immediately at our 6:30 reservation. We were seated immediately, but it took 20 mins just for a few small pieces of bread, another 10 for the appetizer. We ordered the bisque, but it was sold out by 7pm so we had to switch to the clam chowder. The chowder was nice and thick with uniform size dices of potato and clams. We also ordered the calamari which was exactly what we expected. Now came the long wait of forty minutes before our main dishes arrived. Let me repeat that…forty minutes. My plate arrived looking like a toddler plated…slopped together with severely overcooked salmon and shrimp, and raw scallops. Every item was cold. Every item was under seasoned except the mashed potatoes, which were lukewarm. My dining partner’s main was just as bad. We did not eat the mains after tasting a few bites. Meanwhile, all around us, other guests were fed up, complaining, asking questions, and leaving...seems all were disappointed. Overall, this was the worst dining we’ve experienced in fifteen years. Absolutely atrocious. We felt terrible for all the servers having to deal with upset guests because of this fiasco. Such a shame.

I must say they used quality ingredients but did not do Justice with seasonings. We ordered pork chop with chutney that was bland, the mushrooms seemed like steamed in the bag, the coconut shrimp was so dry and 12/26/25, about 7PM- Service was great. Our waiter was very nice and easy to talk to. The atmosphere is top tier. The night time view of Tacoma is awesome. However, the food is straight up bland. It’s like they use quality ingredients and then don’t do it justice. All the veggies were as if they were steamed from a frozen bag and then dumped on the plate. No seasoning. The king salmon which they were hyping up was flavorless. It was as if they baked it, and plated it without any seasoning whatsoever. The pork chop with apricot chutney was also somehow, bland. It’s as if the cooks are averse to using even a little salt. The pork chop was huge but tough. Served with a side of seemingly unseasoned potatoes, and unseasoned green beans. The coconut shrimp was nicely breaded but also the shrimp itself was rubbery. The frozen coconut shrimp from Costco is way better!! Please please do something to improve the food!!! We want to love going here, we want you guys to succeed and be a pride of Tacoma

The view and ambiance, very nice. The drinks, really yummy! The seafood, tasty and well cooked. Thank you to the manager, Andrew, for listening to our concerns about the evening and responding with accountability. Though we tried to remain flexible and in good spirits about our long evening, we left confused and dissatisfied. Our table was not ready for our 7:30 reservation. In good spirits, we passed the time in the lounge while waiting. Per hostess recommendation, we chose to stay in the lounge for dinner. Our server, Isabella, was very kind and worked well with my food allergy concerns. Our wait time for food was extremely long. We watched as table after table turned over. They'd sit, dine, pay and leave...and still we hadn't been served. Oddly my friend received significatly less guest focus than I did. We were confused about whether it was due to the focus being put on my food allergies or whether it be that she is a person of color. Even her lobster bisque starter took a unreasonable amount of time to arrive. The server politely recognized the lengthy delay in service. I was offered a couple of items on the house for the long wait, but it didn't seem that the offer was extended to my friend as well. Maybe it was and it just wasn't communicated effectively? It really felt like they forgot to submit our food orders to the kitchen, or maybe they were very shorthanded, or...we're not sure. Since other people kept getting their food quickly, we just felt forgotten. The vegetable accompaniments were mediocre. I usually finish my meals in entirety, but those and the unfortunately lackluster side salad were left half uneaten. The kitchen was apparently unable to make any variation of a GF DF sauce for my main entree, which was surprising for a perported higher caliber restaurant. A simple white wine and garlic sauce could have elevated the dish, rather than grilled, plain. When the check was brought to the table, and my credit card taken away, we again waiting an unusually long amount of time before it returned. It was finally at this point, more than 2.5 hours after arrival, that I requested a manager. The manager listened and responded well, and worked to smooth things over a bit by removing some items off our bill. Though I appreciated his efforts in reducing the bill to offset the shortcomings, it took additional time for the adjustments and I was brought a slip for $6.60 to pay on my credit card. (Mind you, I had already paid $100 with a gift card before Andrew made the adjustment to the post gift card amount). To me, it would have made more sense that he insist that he'd take care of the remaining balance and not keep us there any longer, leaving a $6.00 balance to rectify. The money itself was not an issue in any regard, but it would have displayed better etiquette. I do still appreciate Andrews efforts. Finally, food for thought. The bathroom door in the ladies room has a gutted primary lock and a cheap slide lock added. This devalues the appearance of your establishment and is in stark contrast to the quality standards you display in the rest of the restaurant.
