I hate the parking lot, I hate the entrance, I hate that they have closed off the LARGER ENTRYWAY to force all their customers through the smaller entryway under the guise of "theft prevention". I prefer the Safeway on Market, but construction has driven me to this one more regularly. They have better fruit, but everything else is worse. I've had a cashier here profile a friend & I, forcing us out of the self-checkout and into a standard checkout line, claiming it would "be faster". It wasn't, he clearly assumed we were there to steal things, because he refused to let us use the self-checkout entirely. The one time I had prescriptions transferred here, it was awful; staff was rude and unhelpful, acting like I was inconveniencing them by needing information about when my meds would be available. It wouldn't be hard for this place to be more pleasant and it wouldn't be hard to update this review if they decided to start treating customers like they value them, instead of treating everyone like a potential criminal.

Unfortunately the Mission Safeway location has been out of stock every time I've been in, for over 2 months straight. Every other Safeway in the area has plenty available, they're just 15 minutes out of my way. Very irritating. I will no longer waste my time even going to this location.
