No more going to Safeway on E. Sprague in Spokane for our families shopping - they put up fences and one way cattle gates to direct you in and out of the store. I understand theft protection, but no one else is doing this is, and this is an unnecessary overkill. Also, when you ring an item up that's on sale, it doesn't give you the sale price - rather, it shows you the regular price and shows you the deduction ( - $1.98, for example ) amount. If you care at all of what you were paying, Safeway expects you to do the math before you pay and check out. The final printed receipt provides the sale price and is easy to understand, but the electronic display sucks. Many seniors and people I know have stopped shopping there for this exact same reason - they can't see what the purchase price is until they print out the paper receipt and then it's too late. They obviously don't eat their own cooking. They removed La Banderita carb counter tortillas from their shelves, yet the other Safeways have them. Ive talked to their front end people, but as usual, no one cares. Another list of broken processes.. I've also ordered some large bottles of their spices that are stocked in the other Safeway stores and they took my number and said they'd call when they come in. They never called. Here I come, Yokes.

Good morning I went in at 9:00 a.m. to get a donut. I picked an Apple fritter which is one of my favorites. They looked okay but after I bought it and took it out to my car and took a bite and it was very very stale not like a one-day sale but like it had been sitting in there for a week it was horrible.

Don't buy chocolate covered strawberries from Safeway for Valentine's Day. They taste sour and moldy. Disgusting.

Went here having to use the restroom really bad and came to find that the bathrooms were down for the night, went and spoke to Catherine at the front she got them opened for me and bailed me out. Since then I’ve seen Catherine twice and every time she’s in a great mood and seems very sweet. Highly recommend

I moved close to a Safeway, specifically off of evergreen and Sprague 4 years ago. I would never have guessed it would be my go-to grocery store. Catherine has not only spent time to show me how to easily guide through the app and save money, but is always in good spirits and eager to help me. She’s a hard worker and always makes it fun. Thanks for everything. All the nighttime people are great. Phil
