Staff were great, food came as quick as always, didn’t have to wait for a seat or anything. The food was nothing like it usually is though. The burgers were so dry! Whenever I’ve eaten at five guys I always have grease running off my face the burgers are so juicy and moist. Tonight they were not that way at all. I thought maybe it was just overcooked but it was not black at all, just so dry. Looking around the room I wondered if it was just mine but everybody’s burgers looked dry. Maybe others didn’t care besides my wife and I but it was not just ours. Second thing bad was the fry’s. They tasted good but we only got about half as many as normal. Usually when you order a large fry it comes in a big cup and they dump tons of fry’s in your bag. This time it was a small paper container and no extras in the bag. I asked a worker if that was normal for a large fry and she said yes they just switched from the cups to the paper sacks. Spending $6+ on fry’s is pretty ridiculous but I’ve never felt bad about it because you get so many. I understand inflation is real and prices are always going up so cost to make food goes up. I’d rather pay an extra buck or two for my food though and keep the same quality rather than pay the same amount for crappy food. Not sure if it was just a bad night/bad cook but it seemed more like a quality issue than cooking issue. Pretty disappointing because five guys has been one of my favorite places for so long!

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
