The Steakhouse Salad
If you're looking for a fresh yet filling meal, the **Steakhouse Salad** here is a winner. Here is the breakdown:
* **The Food:** Absolutely fantastic. The quality of the ingredients stands out, and it hits that perfect balance of being hearty without feeling heavy.
* **Portion Size:** Don't let the "medium" label fool you. The medium size is quite generous and more than enough for a full meal.
* **The Atmosphere:** The venue itself is massive. Even if it looks busy from the outside, the scale of the interior makes it feel spacious.
**Verdict:** Highly recommended if you want a great salad in a high-energy, expansive setting.

First, I try very hard to not leave less than 4 or 5 star reviews as no business is perfect, however, this scenario is just not acceptable, especially after my attempts to get a resolution.
Big idea for customers: confirm your order is 100% correct before driving away as Panera doesn't seem to handle order error in a reasonable manner, especially if you're not a frequent Panera customer.
Dec 20th: I called in as soon as I arrived to work after picking up my order and found that the greek salad + double chicken had no chicken at all. My coworker's order was correct. They were super busy and staff was slammed; crap happens. Was told that I would be mailed a coupon. Weird; just refund the cost of the chicken?? I received a coupon in the mail almost 5 weeks later with the expiration date of Dec '25 (so expired).
Emailed corporate. Their response implied I wasn't wronged and I could have used the expired coupon, but that they would add a coupon to my online account that would expire (as of end of March '26 I believe... its gone upon logging in today).
Again, a coupon with expiry is not appropriate here. I ordered and paid for something that was not provided.
Perhaps my household's ~quarterly Panera purchases aren't enough to make us a valuable customer? Not sure. I don't eat out frequently; personally, my health goals lead me to pack my breakfasts & lunches (aside from special occasions) and make all but 1 dinner a week at home. This experience has, however, really shifted my desire to choose Panera for the special times we do eat out.
The correct response is to simply refund for the product a customer orders but is not provided. Or, alternatively, provide a store gift card for the missing food value.
Thankfully, the Spokane area is full of wonderful options for eating out.
It had been about a year from my last visit. I remembered a good meal. Not the case this time. Great & friendly staff, but the food was dull and lifeless. We 100% know we won't be visiting again. I think I've ate rocks softer than that bread. 😶
The place was rather filthy. Food, napkins, wrappers all over the floor. Dirty dish bins overflowing. Food on the seats and tables. And they were out of butter. Hard to fathom how a place specializing in bread can run out of butter. But the front staff was very friendly.
I took my husband into panera for the first time to have lunch today, around 1pm, it was absolutely packed.
There was a woman at the front counter who was going so above and beyond with a smile on her face to do everything she could to keep everyone happy. She informed us.It would be up to 30 minutes for lunch....And she would try to help us find an actual table to sit at.
We ordered and waited for our food and continued to watch her run around the restaurant, doing everything but actually, her job of standing behind the counter, which she was doing as well.
We stopped to tell her that she was doing an amazing job!!
She said she had only been there three months and so far she had loved it, she said" whatever you decide to do in life, you should do it with a smile on your face and a positive attitude"!!
That's what we saw from her today!
We were impressed!! 😁
So I wanted to throw out some accolades to her, her energy level and positive attitude!!
Thank you Rebecah!! 🙏
Food was amazing as usual!
