I cannot believe how wonderful EVERYONE was!
I am not from the area and stopped in to grab Thanksgiving supplies - Everyone I asked for help dropped what they were doing and helped me. Not just answer questions- walked me to the items I was asking about. Four different employees. If I didn’t live 2 1/2 hours away this would be regular store.

Haggen in Snohomish is one of the most inviting grocery stores in the area, but it trails both PCC, Sprouts, and even the Woodinville Haggen in freshness and modern feel. It could move from a dependable local market to a real destination store by emphasizing the qualities those competitors do best.
The foundation is strong — excellent produce, quality meats, and friendly staff — but several changes would elevate it:
– Broaden organic and local sourcing (especially herbs, mushrooms, and greens) to match PCC’s farm-direct selection.
– Introduce lighter, fresh-prepared options and fewer heavy deli items — Sprouts excels here with bowls, wraps, and plant-forward meals.
– Use clear signage to showcase local farms, makers, and seasonal highlights.
– Refresh interior design with warmer wood tones, greenery, and natural light — the Woodinville Haggen feels brighter and more current.
– Add ingredient transparency in the bakery, deli, and hot bar — customers increasingly expect clarity about sourcing and nutrition.
– Consider vendor pop-ups or community tastings to give the space more local energy and connection.
Snohomish Haggen has the people and product quality to compete with top-tier grocers; it just needs to evolve its presentation and focus on freshness and identity the way PCC, Sprouts, and its Woodinville sibling already have.

Love this store. Especially the deli and garden center.
