Did not have a good experience here. Neither will you if you need a restroom. About halfway through my list, I inquired where the restroom was located. The response was "we don't have a public restroom". I laughed and asked where employees go. "Sorry" was the answer. Never been in this situation before at a grocery store and wasn't about to pee myself... so I left my cart and walked for the nearest exit. Which happened to be a guarded by flimsy one-way exit security gate, which I opened and went through. The security guard wanted me to go back through and around registers to the official exit doors.... didn't happen. Told him I'd do that next time when my bladder was empty. Risking possible citation of some sort, i did manage to make a pile of pallets wet without be apprehended. Make sure to be P free before going here!!

Safeway is a good grocery store with a lot of different food and products to choose from. The store is usually clean and the staff are helpful. Sometimes the prices can be a little high, but the quality of the food is good. Overall, it’s a nice place to shop and I would recommend it.

I was racially profiled at this store after loyally shopping there for 3 1/2 years. I feel because on this particular day I decided to change up my routine and do my bi- weekly shopping in the morning whereas previously I only utilized the store at night after 9 pm. It was a terrible situation, where within 5 minutes of pushing my carriage and placing about $130.00 worth of food in it. I noticed a Caucasian women staring right at me from about 30 feet away who didn't even have any groceries just a very large pocketbook. I knew that she had been loitering around the entrance when I came in. Shrugging off the incident I figured I was just being paranoid and continued to shop. However the woman continued to follow me up one aisle and down the next. Overtime I 'd look over my shoulder there she was now just 20 feet back. I had never experienced this type of situation in any grocery store in 30 or 40 years and it was utterly creepy and quite frankly I felt very offended. But, being a stranger really to this region I just tried to deal with it. He'll, it's a free country right?!? As I made my way to check out though I realized that I hadn't gotten bacon and eggs so so I turned around, and now she was less than 10 feet away! Stalking! Stalking me! 3 groups of people cut in between us, and my ire was up to here! So having blockers I fast walked my way into the closest aisle and moved as fast as my forever diminished feet could move me. Made it to the end, cut over to the bakery and finally was rid of that stalker. Turned the next aisle and almost got rammed by the totally flabbergasted, and now openly angry flushed woman. So, I confronted her by asking what do you want and could you please stop freaking following me! She just gave me the dirtiest look she could produce, turned on her heel and scurried away. Over the years at times I have had anger management issues and have been diagnosed with a mean case of PTSD. But, I only stood up for myself, no yelling, cursing or physical contact. So, I retrieved the bacon, eggs, and a jug of Tropicana! Making a beeline to checkout! Before I could make it though a man's voice behind me loudly rang out, "hold it right there chief don't move". Turning around I see what looks to be the daytime manager, and lo and behold the purse clutching stalker! Now what, this obnoxious pudgy little guy literally ran up on me where I needed to take a big step backward and put a forearm up that he ran into! Bobby the name tag said assistant manager. "Oh going around assaulting people huh chief", all I could say was hey buddy you ran into me! What's going on? "You harassing my employees AND assaulting the manager of this store is all we are tired of your kind shoplifting here!" I really almost lost my cool because while he was ranting he had slobbered and hit my face with his bad breath and skittles! He was less than 3 feet from me. So trying to salvage the situation I took some deep breaths and stated that the woman followed me for 10 aisles what is she security or something, I've never even eaten a grape in this place sir, do you think I'm crazy. It's some of the pan handlers that loitering out front that might be stealing, but we both know that's 7 or 8 white guy's I've shopped here for years! Lies, lies he said. I was like wow you first profile me, then stalking me, now defaming me with your bullying I just am trying to get some food for my apartment. Not today your not! We'll, that is the right of any establishment to refuse to accommodate anyone they choose. So, I through my hands up and thought about my maternal grandmother deceased 55 years who had been born into slavery 8 years was sexually assaulted, had ten deep poorly healed bullwhip scares, and had been forced to have 14 children 5 of which were taken and sold for profit by the whites and their black co-conspirators. OK, I'm leaving, turning to leave I happened to glance in the reflection of a walk-in and saw him pull a cordless phone from his back pocket and my blood pressure spiked. He was going to 911 with a lie too!!! Hell

I DREAD going to this location. After you get harassed for money on your way in, then you'll also get approached for money while you pick out onions, then when you're ready to check out, there's no one at the cashier stand and if you have 16 items, don't you dare use self check out, they'll scold you and tell you to go to another line. Then the cashier who's busy socializing won't even bag your groceries and you do it yourself after waiting 5 minutes for them to finish their social time. Then while you're bagging groceries yourself and paying, they'll let a clearly belligerent drunk person who is covered in urine squeeze past you to look at candy even tho every other aisle is unoccupied and 3 employees will gather to watch him do it but do nothing to help you or tell him he can't just bother people in line. But don't worry! They chase you down for a receipt after getting harassed and paying, just so you can also get harassed one more time as you exit in addition to the final harassment on the way to your car. Everything is locked up so they obviously have lots of theft and they take it out on paying customers who will get bothered and harassed for money multiple times. Why check receipts when you're letting urine-soaked people just roam to beg for money while you're shopping? Can't wait for my corporate autobot response, even tho I have NO DESIRE to discuss this further or call their company! I'll go a couple miles out of my way next time to avoid going here. This store is a nightmare.
