Great food, great service. Only gave 4 stars on atmosphere because of, through no fault of theirs, it was cold and rainy. Terrible weather to wait for coffee in.

I never go to Diedrichs, but swung in on my way through. I was pretty let down by this coffee stand. The service was slow even though there weren’t many people around. The staff didn’t seem very welcoming or helpful. Not worth the price or the wait. I won’t be coming back.

I’m writing to share feedback on my recent visit to your espresso stand heading out of town on Highway 20. Unfortunately, this experience fell significantly below my expectations, both in terms of product quality and customer service.
Firstly, the product I received did not meet standard quality expectations. The espresso was poorly prepared, tasted burnt, and lacked the consistency that is typical for this type of beverage.
Secondly, the service was unsatisfactory. Staff appeared disengaged and unprofessional, and my concerns regarding the product were not addressed in a courteous or helpful manner.
I believe constructive feedback is essential to business improvement, which is why I am bringing these issues to your attention. I hope you will take this as an opportunity to reassess your service standards and quality control processes.
Thank you for your time.

I’ve been a regular customer for years at Diedrich Espresso and have always appreciated the baristas who make the experience welcoming. Recently, though, I’ve been really disappointed in how the management seems to handle their staff.
Even without going into details, I think it’s important to say this: how a business treats its employees directly impacts its customers. Baristas are the face of the shop, they’re the people we interact with every day. They’re the first faces we see in the morning, and their energy and consistency are what keep customers coming back. When management doesn’t value or support them, it affects the entire atmosphere. Losing good ones without professional transparency or acknowledgment changes the atmosphere significantly.
What feels especially frustrating is seeing the lack of any real response to customer concerns. It comes across as dismissive rather than addressing the issue professionally.
I truly believe in supporting local business, but part of that is expecting fair and respectful treatment of the workers who keep the place running. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and prioritizes communication, respect, and accountability going forward.
