  A majority of the employees are great. However, there is one who proves that ufcw 21 is only there to protect employees who should be fired. Apparently she's a supervisor or assistant manager. She's been there for years and only comes out of her hiding spot in the room behind the customer service desk to go sit in her car or sit down by the delivery trucks. She shows nothing but disdain for customers and staff. If stores would fire people like Lena who do nothing but show up and hide their whole shift, maybe we could save a penny or two when we shop.

  Dan was extremely rude. I left a more in depth detail thru the safe way website. I was simply following the signs posted and Dan decided to undermine me and not acknowledge the fact that the posted signage said to asks for the locked up wine at the cash register and said i needed to hit the bbuttion on the LIQUOR. Section despite it clearly saying to ask your cashier for help,

  This store has degraded slowly and is basically unshopable now. Even the ice cream is locked up. You need to get someone to access the ice cream for you. It's time to close this store. There is a normal Safeway just up the road and an excellent grocery store one block away. Town and Country.

  The staff here are some of the rudest people I have encountered in Seattle. I understand that there are a lot of suspicious characters that come in and cause problems, but there’s no reason for the constant attitude. The staff would rather chit chat with each other than help customers. They seem to have invested heavily in loss prevention to the point that it’s uncomfortable to shop. And worse than the attitudes, the prices on the shelf are rarely consistent with what rings up on the register. The last three times I’ve been there, the coupons did not work and the staff at the self-service check out couldn’t do simple math to see the miscalculation. The manager (tall, Tim Curry-esque) walks away mid sentence when I ask for help with price adjustments. Just save your time and go to a different store.
